About Andhra University | andhrauniversity.edu.in
Andhra University was established in the year 1926 by the Madras Act of 1926. This 86 year-old institution is fortunate to have Sir C.R. Reddy as its founder Vice-Chancellor. The University College of Arts was inaugurated on 1st July 1931 and courses were Telugu language and literature, History, Economics, and Politics. The University introduced many new courses in Science, Arts, Management and Engineering in the country. This University became the first general University in the country to get ISO 9001: 2000 Certification in 2006.

The University currently offers 313 Courses in Arts, Management, Commerce, Engineering, Science & Technology, Law, Pharmacy and Education. Andhra University has five constituent colleges and four AU Campuses. Colleges of Arts and Commerce is the biggest college in the University which consists of 26 Departments and offers 42 courses including four Diploma Courses. College of Science and Technology which consists of 21 Departments offers 63 Courses including one PG Diploma. College of Engineering which consists of 15 Departments offering Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Research Programmes.
Andhra University is spread over 422 acres with 121 buildings of Academic, Administrative and support services. And there are two more Hostels are specially for foreign students. The University has well-experienced faculty. There are a total of 354 Professors, 198 Associate. Professors and 115 Asst. Professors serving the University. There is more than 2500 support staff working at the University. There are 365 affiliated colleges under this University which spread across five districts.

Andhra University Admission Process
In this Admission Process, Students will be selected on the basis of AUEET (Andhra University Engineering Entrance Test).
In this, there are a total of 100 MCQ’s carries 100 marks. The test duration will be 90 minutes. In this, there are 3 sections Maths, Physics, and chemistry with 40, 30, and 30 questions respectively.
