AP TET Notification 2024 (Application Deadline Today) | Eligibility, Exam Date, Application Form: The AP TET Notification 2024 announces the commencement of the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET), conducted by the Commissioner of School Education Andhra Pradesh (CSEAP). The official notification was issued on 2nd July 2024. The application process will be available online from the 3rd of July 2024 to the 3rd August 2024. The examination is scheduled to take place from 3rd to 20th October 2024.

AP TET Notification 2024

The AP TET Exam Notification 2024 is designed to assess the candidates’ knowledge and teaching aptitude. For Paper I, subjects include Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. Paper II covers Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics and Science, or Social Studies, depending on the candidate’s specialization. AP TET Eligibility Criteria

At the time of applying for APTET-JULY-2024, candidates must possess the minimum qualifications prescribed for Paper-1A and Paper-1B for teaching classes I to V, and for Paper-2A and Paper-2B for teaching classes VI to VIII, as detailed in the Information Bulletin. Candidates who are in their final semester of any Teacher Education Course recognized by the NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) or the RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) are also eligible to appear for APTET-JULY-2024.

However, it is important to note that simply appearing for or passing the APTET does not automatically entitle a candidate to be considered for a teaching position in Government, Zilla Parishad, Mandal Parishad, Municipal, AP Model Schools, Welfare Schools, Society Schools, Private Un-aided, or Private Aided Schools under the control of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Candidates must also meet the qualifications prescribed for appointment to such posts in the relevant statutory recruitment rules framed by the State Government or by the respective management as of the specified date, and must also pass the Teacher Eligibility Test. AP TET Educational Qualifications

5.1. Minimum Qualifications for paper-I A (Classes I to V):

Intermediate/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
(or)
Intermediate/ Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) following the NCTE (Recognition norms and procedure), Regulations, 2002
(or)
Intermediate/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)(or)
Intermediate/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
(or)
Graduation and two-year diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
(or)
Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
(or)
Post Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three years integrated B.Ed/ M.Ed.
Note 1:- Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks allowed to the SC/ ST/ BC/ PH
candidates.”

5.2. Minimum Qualifications for paper-I B (Classes I to V ) (Special Schools): RCI Qualifications Elementary:-

Intermediate/ Senior Secondary and two-year D.Ed. Special Education in any of the categories of disability

Intermediate/ Senior Secondary and one-year Diploma in Special Education (DSE) in any of the categories of disability.
(or)
Diploma in Community-Based Rehabilitation (DCBR) with 6 months Certificate course in Education of Children with Special Needs.
(or)
Post Graduate Diploma in Community Based Rehabilitation (PGDCBR) with 6 months Certificate course in Education of Children with Special Needs.
(Or)
Diploma in Multi Rehabilitation Worker (MRW) with 06 months Certificate course in Education of Children with Special Needs.
(Or)
Junior Diploma in Teaching the Deaf.
(Or)
Primary level Teacher Training course in Visual Impairment.
(Or)
Diploma in Vocational Rehabilitation – Mental Retardation (DVR-MR) / Diploma in Vocational Training and Employment – Mental Retardation (DVTE-MR) with 06 months Certificate course in Education of Children with Special Needs.
(Or)
Diploma in Hearing Language and Speech (DHLS) with 06-month Certificate course in the Education of Children with Special Needs.

Minimum Qualifications for TET Paper II-A (Classes VI-VIII)( Regular Schools):

Mathematics and Science Teachers/ Social Studies Teachers/ Language Teachers

At least 50% marks either in Graduation (or) in Post Graduation with B.Ed.,
(or)
Graduation with at least 45% marks and 1 year Bachelor of Education under the NCTE recognition norms and procedure Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
(or)
Intermediate/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed)
(or)
Intermediate/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A./ B.Sc. Ed. or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1 year B.Ed (Special Education)

Post Graduation with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed.
Note 1:- Minimum percentage of marks in graduation shall not apply to those incumbents who had already taken admission to the Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Elementary Education or equivalent course before the 29th July 2011.
Note 2:- Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks allowed to the SC/ST/ BC/ PH candidates.”

Language Teachers (Classes VI to VIII):

Graduation with Language concerned as one of the Optional Subjects (or) Bachelor of Oriental Language (or its equivalent) (or) Graduation in Literature (or) Post Graduation in Language concerned and Language Pandit Training Certificate/ B.Ed with Language concerned as one of the Methodologies, in respect of Language
Teachers.

5.4. Minimum Qualifications for TET Paper II-B (Classes VI-VIII) (SPECIAL SCHOOLS)::

RCI QUALIFICATIONS SECONDARY:

Graduate with B.Ed.(Special Education)/ B.Ed.(General) with a year Diploma in Special Education/ B.Ed. (General) with two years of Diploma in Special Education / B.Ed.(General) with Post Graduate Professional Diploma in Special Education (PGDC) / PG Diploma in Special Education (Mental Retardation)/ PG Diploma in Special Education (Multiple Disability: Physical & Neurological)/ PG Diploma in Special Education (Locomotor Impairment and Cerebral Palsy)/ Secondary level Teacher Training Course in Visual Impairment/ Senior Diploma in Teaching the Deaf/ BA B.Ed. in Visual impairment/ Any other equivalent qualification approved by RCI.

Note:

  • The candidates, who are appearing in the final year of Diploma in Elementary Education (or) Bachelor of Education (or) Language Pandit Training (or) D.Ed in Special Education or its equivalent (or) B.Ed in Special Education or its equivalent etc., are also eligible to appear for TET exam subject to the condition that the candidates cannot appear for Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) with this TET certificate unless the candidates acquire requisite
    qualification.
  • A Diploma/ Degree course in Teacher Education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) only shall be considered. However in the case of Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B.Ed. (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) only shall be considered.
    Intermediate qualification of the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) of Andhra Pradesh State or its equivalent as recognized by the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE), Andhra Pradesh State only shall be considered. Bachelor’s Degree of a University Recognized by UGC only shall be considered.

AP TET Exam Date 2024

The AP TET Exam for 2024 is scheduled to take place from the 3rd of October 2024 to the 20th of October 2024. During this period, candidates will sit for various papers, including Paper-1A, Paper-1B, Paper-2A, and Paper-2B, across multiple sessions. This extensive examination window ensures that all aspirants, aiming to qualify for teaching positions in Andhra Pradesh, have ample opportunity to demonstrate their competencies. AP TET Age Limit 2024

While there is no upper age limit set by the CSEAP for applicants applying for the AP TET 2024 Exam, candidates must be a minimum of 18 years old to fulfill the basic eligibility requirements for the AP TET 2024 Exam.
