APSSB CHSL Selection Process 2024
The APSSB CHSL Selection Process 2024 will consist of two stages.
- Only Stage 1: Agriculture Field Assistant (Jr.), Dissection Hall Attendant
- Both Stage-1 and Stage-2: Lower Division Clerk, Data Entry Operator, JSA
APSSB CHSL Exam Pattern 2024
The test will be of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions comprising 150 questions as mentioned above. Each question will carry 2 (two) marks. The candidate will have to complete the test in 3 (three) hours. A candidate must secure a minimum of 33% in each subject in the written examination paper. The candidate scoring less than 33% of marks in any of the subjects shall be deemed not eligible for selection. There is no negative marking. Therefore, you are advised to check the below table to know the latest APSSB CHSL Exam Pattern 2024.
Stage – 1 (Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions)

Note: The total number of candidates shortlisted for Stage 2 (Skill Test) will be in a 1:3 ratio i.e. if the total vacancies are 10 then 30 candidates will be shortlisted for Stage 2, subject to the candidate securing a minimum of 33% marks in each subject in the written Examination paper.
Stage – 2 Skill Test
Typing Speed test of 35 words per minute on computer (35 words per minute corresponds to 10500 Key Depression per hour) (KDPH) on an average of 5 Key Depression for each word.

(a) General English: Spot the Error, Fill in the Blanks, Synonyms/ Homonyms, Antonyms, Spellings/ Detecting misspelled words, Idioms & Phrases, One-word substitution, Improvement of Sentences, Active/ Passive Voice of Verbs, Conversion into Direct/ Indirect narration, Shuffling of Sentence parts. (b) Elementary Mathematics:
(i) Number Systems: Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions, and Relationships between numbers.
ii) Fundamental arithmetical operations: Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Square roots, Averages, Interest (Simple and Compound), Profit and Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Allegation, Time and distance, Time and work.
iii) Algebra: Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra and Elementary surds (simple problems) and Graphs of Linear Equations.
iv) Geometry: Familiarity with elementary geometric figures and facts: Triangle and its various kinds of centers, Congruence and similarity of triangles, Circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, common tangents to two or more circles.
v) Mensuration: Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons, Circle, Right Prism, Right Circular Cone, Right Circular Cylinder, Sphere, Hemispheres, Rectangular Parallelepiped, Regular Right Pyramid with triangular or square Base.
vi) Trigonometry: Trigonometry, Trigonometric ratios, Complementary angles, Height and distances (simple problems only) Standard Identities like sin²Θ+ Cos²Θ=1, etc.
vii) Statistical Charts: Use of Tables and Graphs: Histogram, Frequency polygon, Bar diagram, Pie-chart.
(c) General Knowledge: Questions are designed to test the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions are also designed to test knowledge of current events and such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries, especially about History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General policy, and scientific research, National/ International Organizations/ Institutions, etc. State-specific questions may also be asked.
