• Prepare and file Sales & Use tax returns and payments accurately and timely as required by taxing jurisdictions to ensure all return filing deadlines are achieved.
• Should have an understanding of state rules and regulations.
• High standards for accuracy are to be maintained in line with standard Operating Procedures to avoid causing Penalty and Interest to the client.
• Ability to meet the SLAs and ensure accurate and timely registration.
• Communicate to the manager ongoing status and challenges or blockers if any.
• Stay abreast of all the updates & trends, and support overall production/accuracy goals.
• Find and implement opportunities for process improvement and build efficiency.
• Working with the team to plan and prepare monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/annual filings.
• Serve as front-line contact for external customers by answering emails and client calls.
• Assist internal groups with technical issues and inquiries.
• Communicate clearly and concisely and maintain accurate and timely records in systems.
• Be open to accepting additional responsibilities assigned to meet the deadlines
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Ability to adhere to and deliver as per timelines of various government authorities as per various data formats.
• Flexible to extend working hours, working on weekends and holidays as may be required to complete the filing requirements.
