Eligibility Criteria to Apply for Bihar Post Matric Scholarship

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of the state of Bihar
• The applicant’s caste should be included in the list of Backward Classes and Most Backward Classes and Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes issued by the State Government
• The maximum total annual income from all sources should be up to Rs. 2,50,000/- (Rupees Two Lakh Fifty Thousand) for the financial year 2019-20 and 2020-21 of the applicant’s parents/ guardian by the Government of India for the post-entrance scholarship. Similarly, the maximum total annual income from all sources for the financial year 2019-20 and 2020-21 of the parents/ guardians of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe applicant is up to Rs.2,50,000/- (Rupees two lakh fifty thousand). In the future, the order issued by the concerned department regarding the maximum benefit of parents/guardians will be considered applicable
• Under the post-entrance scholarship scheme, only the students studying in higher classes after passing the matriculation/ entrance examination can apply for the scholarship
• After passing one level course, you will not be entitled to a scholarship for studying in another equivalent course, ie, IA after passing the ISC examination, B.Com after passing B.A. and M.A. after completing M.S. Scholarship will not be given for studying in class
• In Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes, only 02 (two) sons of the parents of the applicant will be given a post-admission scholarship. This rule will not apply to daughters, but this rule will not apply to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes
