Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College for Women, Khanpur, Haryana, India is the second Govt Medical College for girls. BPSGMC is the first women’s Government Medical College of independent India and the first such institution in North India. On 1st March 2009 Hon’ble Chairperson of UPA Smt. Sonia Gandhi laid the foundation stone of the Institute. BPSGMC provides health services for poor and needy people in rural areas. In BPSGMC 20 to 30 major surgeries are carried out every day. However, on 1st September 2011, Hon’ble Health Minister Rao Narender Singh, started on a trial basis with a team of 21 faculty members, with just 100 beds, open for the public. And now BPS Govt Medical College stands as one of the best Medical colleges as it provides the best academics and empowering Women education.
