Who can Participate in Virtual Capgemini Tech Challenge 2021?

Participation is open to all coders, developers, tech enthusiasts. If the candidate has a flair for tech innovations, this could be a chance.

Capgemini Tech Challenge 2021 Rules

Here are different contests that the users can participate in:

1. Regional Challenge – It’s an Online Contest

• There will be 3 levels in Capgemini Hackathon Contest. The first 2 levels will be launched simultaneously and 3rd level will be launched on the day of the Finale.
• There will be 25 MCQs in Level – 1
• The maximum time allotted for each level is 30 minutes
• The correct answer for each MCQ will give you 4 points
• A user has to answer 40% of the questions correctly to unlock the next level.
• Each user will get 2 attempts per level to improve their scores. The highest score on both attempts will be considered as your final score for that level.
• The final level for these contests will be held online.
• There will be no negative marking in any of the levels.
• Winners of the Regional Challenge Contest will not qualify for the Direct L2 interview.

Tie Break Logic

• The candidate with the highest marks (sum of both levels) will be ranked higher.
• Point 1 being equal, the aspirants who have taken lesser time of level 3 will be ranked higher.
• Point 2 being equal, the candidates who have taken lesser time of level 2 will be ranked higher.
• If the situation of tie-break persists equally after points 1-3, the user who took the lesser time will be ranked higher.
• In case this is also equal, the user who participated in the contest at an earlier date will be ranked higher.

2. Theme specific contests

This includes Appian, ReactJS, Java Fullstack, Snowflake, AWS, Salesforce Lightning, Data Science, Pega, GCP, Pyspark.

• All the levels will be online but the final level (3rd level) will be launched at a specific date. The top 5 coders who will be shortlisted from Level 2 will be selected.
• Level 1 will be an MCQ contest and Level 2 will be a problem statement-based contest, both will have an equal weightage of 100 points each.
• All the contests can be in a combination of MCQ+Problem Statement based contests.
• There will be no negative marking in any of the levels.
• A user has to answer 40% of the questions correctly to unlock the next level. Each user will get 2 attempts per level to improve their scores across levels. The highest score on both attempts will be considered as your final score for that level.
• MCQs will be timed. The time utilized for answering will be accounted for to tabulate the leaderboard.

Here are the rules for the Theme contest

Level – 1: Screening Phase

• There will be a total of 25 MCQs for which 30 minutes will be allotted to complete the Level 1 round.
• In the case of the MCQs, each correct answer will fetch the user 4 points questions are compulsory.

Level 2: Online Hackathon Phase

• There will be a single problem statement in this round for which a time duration of 7 days will be allotted to the candidate to complete Level 2.
• The number of attempts for the ideation phase is unlimited.
• All the submissions must be submitted on the Capgemini site.
• Participants will be able to access the problem statements once the “Participate Now” button is clicked.
• During an online hackathon, you can participate from anywhere.
• Once the hackathon starts, you will get an option to submit your hack, you can submit as many times as you want, the last hack will be considered as the final submission.
• Participants can use any tools or libraries for building their solutions. There is no restriction on the tools that can be used.
• Winners of the contest will be chosen solely at the discretion of Capgemini. Please ensure to update the participant’s profile and contact details.
• The total score will be the cumulative score of the 2 levels in each contest i.e. Level 1+Level 2 for Leaderboard.

The Scoring Logic of Level X is as follows

• Number of MCQs Correctly Answered x 4 = A
• Total Number of Test Cases Answered Correctly x 10 = B
• Total Score = A + B

Tie Break Logic for Theme contest on Leader board

• The user with the highest marks (sum of both levels) will be ranked higher.
• This being equal, the candidate with higher marks in the level 2 problem will be ranked higher
• Point 2 being equal, the user with the higher score of level 2 will be ranked higher.
• Even after following Points 1-3 if there is a tie, then the user who has taken lesser time will be ranked higher.
• Even after following Points 1-4 if there is a tie, the user with the lesser time in level 2 will be ranked higher.
• Everything being equal, the referral scores of the 2 candidates will be used to sort out the tie break.
• In case if this is also equal, the user who participated in the contest at an earlier date will be ranked higher.

Gratifications for Online contest

• 1st Prize – Cash Prize worth INR 50,000.
• 2nd Prize – Cash Prize worth INR 30,000.
• Early bird prizes (For 1st 10 players to complete Level 2) and win Capgemini branded merchandise of the online contests.

Gratifications for Theme contest

• 1st Prize – Cash Prize worth INR 50,000.
• 2nd Prize – Cash Prize worth INR 30,000.
• Early bird prizes (First 10 players to complete Level 2) – Capgemini branded merchandise for each theme contest.
• All Prize Money will be subject to a tax deduction and the same will be borne by the winners. (The prize money is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.
• The prize money is not transferable. We reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice and the timelines of prize money processing will be decided by Capgemini and can take some more extra time for its processing post winner announcements)
• Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.

We have a distinct Regional Challenge for students and freshers, which will be a mix of technical and aptitude questions in Level 1 followed by a coding challenge in Level 2 and Level 3.

• Objective: To Assess Your Fundamental Knowledge For The Regional Challenge Challenge.

Level 2: Hackathon Phase Coding, Online

• Attempts Left: 2
• Duration: 3 Hours
• Passing Score: 100/100 In Round 1
• Ends In: 7 Days (19th July 2021)

Level 3: Hackathon Phase Coding, Online

• Attempts Left: 2
• Duration: 2 Days
• Starts In: 53 Days (4th September 2021)

Top Campus Coders

• Top 2 coders at the Grand Finale will be awarded cash prizes
• INR 75,000 and INR 50,000 respectively.

Fastest Finger

• First student from Campus to score 60 marks in both Level 1 & Level 2
• Regional challenge – INR 20,000

Top 5 Language Coders

• Top 5 students for each of the different coding languages – Example: C, C++, Java, Python, C#
• INR 10,000 x 5 = INR 50,000

Top coder from Top registered college from each zone

• (East, West, North, South – Zone wise) winner (Top coder) from college with maximum participation in Level 1 that fall in different zones
• INR 5,000 x 4 = INR 20,000

Social Coder

• 5 Students who cross all 3 levels with a minimum of 40 marks and have shared the maximum on social media
• INR 10000 x 5 = INR 50,000

Top Colleges

• Top 5 colleges with maximum participation in Level 1 will be awarded special trophies and respective Placement Officers will get an exclusive invite to the grand finale.

Top Women Coders

• Top 2 Women Coders after level 2 of the regional challenge will be awarded cash prizes of INR 50,000 and INR 30,000 respectively.

Job Opportunities

Job opportunities with Capgemini are not entitled purely to winning the Tech Challenge 2021, and should not be considered as a final job offer. On winning the Capgemini Tech Challenge 2021, the aspirants will only be given a direct opportunity for an L2 interview with the HR team of Capgemini India.

Intellectual Property

• All intellectual property rights including, without limitation, presented solutions, rights in designs, and rights in inventions and other intellectual or industrial property rights in any jurisdiction in any information, content, materials, data, or processes contained, disclosed, or discussed in this Tech Challenge 2021 belong to Capgemini India.
• If a submitted solution/ invention is copied or is plagiarized, the candidate/ team will be disqualified from Tech Challenge 2021.

Proctoring

• No toggling: The candidate cannot change to other windows in between the test. A warning will pop up every time a candidate changes the window or tabs. Once the stipulated number of warnings gets passed, the test will be auto-submitted.
• Video Proctoring: The candidate must have a working webcam to take the test. The image and video of the candidate are captured while he/she is attempting the test.
• Full-screen mode: In this, the candidate must attempt the test in the full-screen mode. If he/she tries to escape this mode, warnings pop up and after the stipulated number of warnings get passed, the test will be auto-submitted.
