Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT) Scholarship

At the National level, Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme (CTSSS) will be given by the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT). It has been awarded to the candidates since 1982. Only outstanding talented children of the age group 10 to 14 are Eligible. Every year up to 650 new scholarships are awarded. And in that 100 scholarships are reserved only for Tribal Culture (ST candidates). 125 scholarships are for the children of families practicing traditional arts. 20 scholarships are for Divyang (Differently Abled) children. 30 scholarships are reserved for students applying in the field of Creative Writing/ Literary Arts. And 375 scholarships will be given to general candidates.

Eligibility Criteria for CCRT Scholarship

  • Candidate must be domiciled in Indian.
  • The aspirant must be studying in government-recognized schools.
  • The applicant must be between the age group of 10 to 14 years.
  • Candidate must be practicing the skills in traditional forms of music, dance, and drama as well as painting, sculpture, crafts, and literary activities.

Selection Process of CCRT Scholarship

Next, after applying for the CCRT Scholarship, the eligible candidates will be shortlisted. And finally called for an interview. On the basis of the rating given to the candidates in the interview out of 10 Points, the merits will be finally for getting the CCRT Scholarship.

CCRT Scholarship – Amount

  • The Scholarship of Rs 3600/- per year will be given for selected candidates only.
  • And the Scholarship amount is given to the candidates as reimbursement of the actual tuition fee paid to the Guru/Teacher.
  • The scholarship is up to Rs 9000/- per year.
  • The applicants selected are being credited directly into the Bank account of the selected applicants through
  • Public Finance Management System (PFMS) under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) Programme of the Government.
