Candidate #1 – CGI Latest Interview Experience (On Campus)

I’ve recently appeared for the On Campus CGI Interview. And I hope that the CGI On Campus Interview Experience that I share here will be useful to aspirants who are aiming to get placed in the CGI may found useful. Below is the recruitment process that I’ve undergone.

• Round 1 – Online Test (AMCAT)
• Round 2 – Tech Managerial Round
• Round 3 – Technical Interview
• Round 4 – HR Interview

Round 1: Online Test (AMCAT)

This is the 1st round in CGI Interview Process and it is an elimination round. In Online Test there are 5 sections.

• Quantitative Aptitude – 16 Questions
• Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension – 22 Questions
• Business Analytics – 8 Questions
• Computer Science – 26 Questions
• Coding – 2 Questions

Overall, I felt this round was moderate to difficult. You need lots & lots of practice to perform well to get shortlisted.

Round 2: Tech Managerial Round

Once I was shortlisted in the Online Test I was asked to appear for the Tech Managerial round. In this, the interviewer briefly asked me to introduce myself and later asked me about my academic project details. And later discussed How blockchain can revolutionize the healthcare industry. The interviewer is friendly and I felt this round easy.

Round 3: Technical Interview

Initially, the interviewer asked me to tell something about myself and then later asked a few questions related to SQL queries. And basic questions from my core subjects were also asked. And after asking a few more questions, the interviewer told me to appear for the last & final round which HR.

Round 4: HR Interview

I was asked to give a small presentation on Emerging Technologies. After completing my presentation, the interview asked so many questions related to the presentation. And later he also a general question like Why CGI? I answered him.

At last, only 12 candidates were selected for the Associate Software Engineer position & I was one of them.

Candidate #2 – CGI Interview Experience for Freshers

Status – Selected

Difficulty Level – Hard

Recruitment Type – Campus Placement

Round 1 – Online Round

The first round is the Online Test round conducted by AMCAT. In this round, there are 4 sections.

• Section 1 – Quantitative – 30 questions, 25 mins
• Section 2 – Verbal – 25 questions, 15 mins
• Section 3 – Basic Coding – 2 questions, 45 Mins
• Section 4 – Data Interpretation

This round ranges from moderate to difficult. And only 85 students were shortlisted for further process.

Round 2 – Technical Round 1

As soon as I entered the room, I greeted the interviewer, and this round is face to face. The interviewer already has my resume with him, and he asked some questions about it and asked about my day so far. Below are some of the questions that were asked to me during my technical interview 1 which happened for nearly 1 and half hours.

1. What is Object class?

2. What is Queue?

3. What is a stack?

4. Can you give me an example where we can replace the stack and use another data structure for the same purpose?

5. Do you know tree traversal? (write a code)

6. Tell me something about Collection

7. Show me how you can use two Queue for fulfilling the purpose of the stack.

8. Tell me about your internship

9. What is a deadlock in threading?

10. Teach me about Dijkstra Algorithm.

11. Do you know about Multithreading?

12. Write a program that prints number from 1 – N systematically. Use one thread for odd and another for even number.

After I was done with my technical round, the interviewer asked me to appear for the next round which was technical interview 2.

Round 3 – Technical Round 2

In this round, initially, the interviewer asked me a few questions related to my resume and then slowly started asking about some technical concepts and programs.

Round 4 – HR Round

This round just took 25-30 mins. The interviewer asked me questions related to my parents & their qualifications, random questions to test my personality & character.

3. How would you see yourself in 5 years.

4. He asked me If want to ask any questions.

At last, the whole campus placement drive took 2 days. And finally, the results were announced. CGI has offered job offer letters for 16 students and I was one of them.
