Cisco Interview Experience for Customer Success Specialist

Job Role: Customer Success Specialist

No. of Rounds: 4 Rounds

Round 1: Online HackerRank Exam

Before taking the test, we were asked to select 2 positions from Associate Engineer, Consulting Engineer, and Customer Success Specialist Roles in the order of priority. Then the test was conducted. There were 25 MCQs and 1 coding question asked in this round. In the 25 MCQs 1 Python question is asked, 1 DBMS question, 6-7 Mathematical aptitude (speed, time, distance, probability, work-time, average, etc), and remaining computer networking questions (networking fundamentals, APIs, could computing, security fundamentals, etc.) and the 1 coding question is on dictionary problem.

However, I was able to solve 22-23 questions and I was unable to solve the coding question. Because of this, out of all the 3 positions, I was selected for the Customer Success Specialist role.

Round 2: Interview

The Interview was held on the same day of the HackerRank Exam. This round took for 50 minutes. There were 2 members in the interview panel. The first and the foremost question that was asked is to tell about myself. The range of the technical questions started from Computer networking, security, and more on protocols and their functions. Later, the interviewer asked me a few questions on Data Structure and Algorithms. Here are some of the questions that are asked n my Cisco Technical Interview.

1. Discussions on MVC architecture.

2. Write a program to reverse a linked list.

3. What is a balanced binary tree?

4. What is the difference between user and kernel space?

5. State the difference between user and kernel space.

6. What is real-time OS and how it’s different from other OS?

7. Define OSI layers and tell us their functions

8. Questions on Microprocessors

9. Can you state at least two advantages of Win NT over WIN 95?

10. What is a semaphore?

11. What do you mean by the real-time OS?

12. What is a heap sort?

13. What is the character set used in java 2.0?

14. What language is used for artificial intelligence?

Round 3: Managerial Round

On clearing the technical round, I was called for the Managerial Round. Here also, there were 2 interviewers. Firstly, they have asked me to tell about myself, then followed by a few of the general topics. Some of the questions that were asked are:

1. Tell me about your hobbies

2. How can you deal with a particular situation in your workplace?

3. Where do I see myself after 5 years?

4. What you are expecting from the work?

6. What do you think about Cisco?

7. How will your friends describe you in one word?

Round 4: HR Interview

This is the last round in the whole Cisco Interview process. This round lasted for about 10 minutes. And there are the questions that were asked.

1. Introduce myself, my projects in brief, and about my skillset

2. What do you think about Cisco and why Cisco?

Cisco On Campus Interview Experience

Round 1: Online Test

As the name states, this is an online assessment round. In which 25 questions were asked on OS, CN, and aptitude, and the other 2 are coding questions. In the 2 coding questions, one is easy and the other is medium. I was able to solve both of the coding questions. the medium-level question is based on string and hashmap.

Round 2: Technical Interview

After clearing the online assessment round, I was called for Technical Interview. Two-panel members were there in this round. First, they introduced themselves and then asked me to tell them about myself.

As I mentioned 4 projects on my resume, they asked me to speak about all the projects. They took 2 of 4 projects and asked about the technology and the algorithms that I used.

Later, the interviewer asked about the technologies I used, I said C, CPP, and Python. So questions on python topics like lists, tuples, dictionaries, decorators were asked. Followed by the OS concepts like Semaphore, thread, process.

Afterward, I was asked to write the Insertion Sort Algorithm. I wrote the code on a document and then explained the code on the whiteboard. This round went for 1 hour.

Round 3: Technical + Managerial Interview

This round went very friendly and lasted for 1 hour. The interviewer gave his introduction and I gave mine. Later, he asked me a question, which is, What is the difference between enough and sufficient? This question is asked because I have used this word while introducing myself. The interviewer asked about the projects I did. Then, he asked me to rate myself out of 10 in Python and Java.

Round 4: HR Interview

This round went just for 10 minutes, and the question that was asked in this round are:

1. Introduce yourself

2. Why do you want to join in Cisco?

3. What are your hobbies?

4. Are you willing to relocate?

5. Do you have any questions for me?
