Job Description | Desktop Support Technician

The Cloudera Corporate IT department is looking for a Desktop Support Technician to join our corporate IT support team.

You must be able to thrive in a dynamic environment and remain flexible as the needs of the business change. Our department places a high value on customer satisfaction so you must be willing to go the extra mile to delight our fellow co-workers so they can function at their highest level. As Cloudera adopts new technology, you will be called upon to provide training so you must be comfortable standing up in front of a group of coworkers and explain technology in a clear and simple manner. You must also be able to work independently with minimal follow-up, be accountable, and take pride in your work. This position reports to the IT Manager in Budapest, Hungary.

Responsibilities Include

• Provide IT Support in a mixed Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows 10, and Linux environment.
• Manage the new hire onboarding process: set-up accounts and equipment for new employees and provide user training.
• Manage the IT Helpdesk ticket queue using the JIRA Service Desk.
• Provide meeting, A/V, and VoIP support.
• Administer G-Suite, Okta, Microsoft Active Directory, and other corporate platforms.
• Manage our local and remote printers.
• Document and update IT processes, while trying to find holes in them.
• Have familiarity with using a ticketing system to manage and solve IT issues (JIRA preferred).
• Support iOS and Android devices.

You Should have

• 0-2 years of Desktop Support in a Mac/ Windows environment (we are 75% Mac).
• Some experience using an MDM solution – preferably JAMF and/or Airwatch.
• Strong customer service skills and great attention to detail.
• Familiarity with video conferencing tools (Zoom & Hangouts Meet Preferred).
• Knowledge of anti-virus/ malware solutions.
• Ability to excel in high growth, a team-focused company with minimal day-to-day supervision.
• BS in a technical major preferred.
