Job Role – Analyst

I’ve applied through university for the role of Analyst in Cognizant. And interviewed at Genc Elevate.

Round 1: Skill Based Assessment

In this round, there will be MCQ questions and a Coding Test. The MCQ Questions will be having 4 sections and each section will be having its own time limit. And coming to Coding Test, 2 medium coding questions have to be solved in 30 mins and one hard question has to be solved in 30 mins.

Once, I’m done successfully with Round 1, I was asked to attend the Technical Interview round.

Round 2: Technical Interview, HR Interview

When I entered the room, I’ve greeted the interviewer, took a seat when offered to me. And then I shared my resume. The interviewer took his time to go through my resume. Then he asked me to introduce myself. I’ve spoken about myself for the next 3-4 mins (I’ve covered my educational qualifications, my final year project, and the internship experience I had). Subsequently, after a few technical questions to test my subject knowledge, the interview took my HR Interview too. Technical Questions

1. Declare an interface.

2. SQL Query – Discover and fetch names and depend on professors of every division with professors depend lower than 5.

After my interview, I was asked to wait outside and after some time the interview results were announced and my name is listed in that.

Note:

  • Overall, I’ve had a positive interview experience.
  • I want to suggest that, be genuine while answering any question if you don’t know the answer to a particular question try to convey the same to the interviewer.
  • And the most important thing is, everything you have placed in your resume you should be capable of responding to every question related to them.
  • Focus on basic concepts related to your core subjects.

Candidates # 2 Cognizant Interview Experience

On Campus Cognizant Interview Experience

Status – Selected

  • For GenC – 2 rounds
  • For GenC Next – 3 Rounds

Round 1 – Online Test/ Aptitude Test (First round is common for both GenC and GenC Next profiles)

In the online test, the questions are from Quantitative Aptitude (24 questions – 35 Mins), Logical Ability (25 questions – 35 Mins), Coding (Debugging or Automata) – 7 Question – 20 Mins. After I was done with my online test I was shortlisted for the GenC profile & was asked to appear for the technical interview round.

Round 2 – Subject Matter Interview, HR Interview

Subject Matter Interview – This round is nothing but the technical round. After I shared my resume, the interviewer immediately asked me to introduce myself (While I was explaining, he went through my resume), next few questions were related to points I’ve mentioned in my resume. And below are some of the technical questions that were asked to me at the time of my technical interview.

1. Can a database table exist without a primary key?

2. Tokens in C++.

3. List the oops features and briefly explain them.

4. Then they asked me to write a program for star pattern and they asked a few more questions about C++

5. What is the difference between array and linked list?

6. What are aggregation and encapsulation?

7. Difference between C & C++.

8. How to add new rows and columns in a table.

9. And he asked some basics of JavaScript.

10. what is the minor project or major project you have worked on?

11. Programming Languages Used in my project.

HR Interview

As soon as I was done with my technical interview, I was shortlisted to appear for the HR Interview final stage in the recruitment process. If you guys have prior experience regarding how the HR interview will be like you can expect what type of questions you will be asked in this round. Just to give you an insight on how the Cognizant HR Interview went check out the below questions that the interviewer asked me.

As it is an on-campus interview the results were announced after a few days. They sent a list to the college, in which my name is enlisted saying I was selected.
