DCE Scholarship @ dcescholarship.kerala.gov.in | Eligibility, Application Form: DCE scholarship which is also known as Kerala scholarship (Directorate of Collegiate Education Scholarship) is being run by the Kerala government and its various departments. Generally, the Kerala State Government calls all the applicants for Scholarships every year. A total of 16 Scholarships are available by the Kerala Government Under the Central as well as the State Government.

This DCE Kerala Scholarship Scheme is to ensure that the finances are not a hindrance to the student’s path in the pursuit of their academic career. The Directorate Of Collegiate Education (DCE) scholarships are applicable for all the students coming from different stages of life. The main objective of this DCE Scholarships is to provide financial help to the deserving and meritorious students of Kerala State. The main departments for the Kerala government are the department of minority welfare and the department of collegiate education.

DCE Scholarship – Eligibility Criteria

ITC Fee Reimbursement Scholarship, Kerala
  • They should be pursuing an ITI course.
  • The scholarship is open for students who belong to the Minority community.
  • The annual income of the family should not be more than Rs. 8 Lakh per annum.
C H Muhammedkoya Scholarship, Kerala
  • This Kerala scholarship is open for girl students that belong to converted Christian, Muslim, Latin or community.
  • The percentage of marks in the last qualifying examination should be a minimum of 50%. The annual income of the family should not be more than Rs. 8 Lakh per annum.
  • She should be pursuing studies at graduation level or above.
  • The students studying in self-financing colleges on the basis of merit seats can also apply. The hostel stipend is also available for students residing in recognized hostels.
APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship (APJAK), Kerala
  • They must be studying in a government polytechnic in a merit seat.
  • The students belonging to the Minority community can apply for this scholarship.
  • The annual income of the family should not be more than Rs. 8 Lakh per annum.
Prof. Joseph Mundassery Scholarship Award (PJMS), Kerala
  • The candidates belonging to the Minority community can apply for this scholarship.
  • The annual income of the family should not be more than Rs. 8 Lakh per annum.
  • They must be pursuing their education in class 10, 12.
Mother Teresa Scholarship (MTS), Kerala
  • The students belonging to the Minority community can apply for this scholarship.
  • The annual income of the family should not be more than Rs. 8 Lakh per annum.
  • They must be pursuing a nursing paramedical/ diploma courses.
CA/ ICWA/ CS Scholarship (IWCS), Kerala
  • The students belonging to the Minority community and pursuing CA/ ICWA/ CS courses can apply for this scholarship.
  • The annual income of the family should not be more than Rs. 8 Lakh per annum.
  • The minimum percentage of marks in the last qualifying examination should be a minimum of 60%.
District Merit Scholarship (DMS), Kerala
  • The students pursuing studies at VHSC, ITI, higher secondary, or Polytechnic course can apply.
  • They must have passed the SSLC examination conducted by the Examination Board, Kerala State with an ‘A’ plus grade in all subjects.
State Merit Scholarship, Kerala
  • The students studying in the first year of an undergraduate or postgraduate course in a government/ aided college can apply.
  • The annual income of the family should not be more than Rs. 1 Lakh per annum.
  • The minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying examination should be 50%.
Music Fine Arts Scholarship (MFAS), Kerala
  • The students studying in a Government Fine Arts College or Government Music College can apply for this scholarship.
Sanskrit Scholarship (SSE), Kerala
  • The scholarship is open for students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate degree courses with Sanskrit as a subject.
Blind/PH Scholarship, Kerala
  • This scholarship is applicable to physically handicapped/ deaf/ blind students.
  • They must be pursuing their studies in a government/ aided Music Colleges, Arts and Science Colleges, Vocational/ Higher Secondary/ Higher Secondary schools.
Hindi Scholarship (HS), Kerala
  • Students pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate course can apply for this scholarship.
Post-Matric Scholarship (PMS) for Minorities, Kerala
  • The scholarship is open for students who belong to minority communities (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Parsis, Jains, and Buddhists).
  • The minimum percentage of marks to be obtained by them in the qualifying examination should be 50% or above or equivalent grade.
  • They must be pursuing their studies from class 11 to Ph.D. level.
  • The annual income of the family should be less than Rs. 2 Lakh.
Suvarna Jubilee Merit Scholarship (SJMS), Kerala
  • The scholarship is applicable for students who are in the first year of any undergraduate or postgraduate degree program.
  • The minimum percentage of marks to be obtained by them in the last qualifying examination is 50% or above.
  • They must belong to a BPL family.
Central Sector Scholarship (CSS), Kerala
  • The students, who are above the 80th percentile of successful candidates in class 12 from the respective Board of Examination can apply for this scholarship.
  • The annual income of the family should be less than Rs. 8 Lakh from all sources.
  • They must be pursuing regular degree courses at undergraduate or postgraduate level from institutions/ colleges recognized by AICTE/ UGC/ MCI/ DCI or any other regulatory authorities.

ITC Fee Reimbursement Scholarship, Kerala

  • Rs. 10,000 for students pursuing the 1 – year course.
  • Rs. 20,000 for students pursuing the 2 – year course.

CH Muhammedkoya Scholarship Kerala

  • For undergraduates – Rs. 5,000 per annum
  • For postgraduates – Rs. 6,000 per annum
  • For professional courses – Rs. 7,000 per annum
  • Hostel stipend – Rs. 13,000 per annum

  • Rs. 6,000 Per Annum

Muslim Nadar Girls Scholarship, Kerala

  • Rs. 125 per annum to each selected scholar

Music Fine Arts Scholarship (MFAS), Kerala

  • Financial assistance of up to Rs. 1,500 per annum

Blind/ PH Scholarship, Kerala

  • Blind students with annual family income below Rs. 2.5 Lakh will receive a fee waiver
  • Physically handicapped students (hostellers) with family income below Rs. 4.5 Lakh will receive a waiver in hostel charges
  • Physically handicapped students (day scholars) with family income below Rs. 4.5 Lakh will receive a waiver in boarding charges

Hindi Scholarship (HS), Kerala

  • For undergraduate students – 180 students will receive Rs. 500 per month
  • For postgraduate students – 59 students will receive Rs. 1,000 per month

Suvarna Jubilee Merit Scholarship (SJMS), Kerala

  • Rs. 10,000 per annum towards pursuing higher education

Post-Matric Scholarship (PMS) for Minorities, Kerala

  • Admission and tuition fee up to Rs. 10,000 per annum
  • Maintenance allowance of up to Rs. 1,200 per month (for 10 months)

Central Sector Scholarship (CSS), Kerala

  • For graduation level – Rs. 10,000 per annum for the first three years and Rs. 20,000 per annum for 4th and 5th year (for integrated/ 5-year courses)
  • For postgraduation level – Rs. 20,000 per annum

  • Proof of admission in the board
  • Date of Birth Certificate/ Proof of Applicant
  • Residential proof of applicant’s father/ local guardian
  • Mark-sheet of the candidate if any semester is completed
  • Proof of Annual Financial Income of the candidate’s family
  • Proof of Category for SC/ ST/ OBC Candidate
  • Photo identity proof of candidate (Voter I-card, driving license, etc)
  • Domicile certificate of the candidate (issued by competent authority as per latest notification of Govt. of India/ Govt. of Assam)
  • ECS (Electronic Clearing Service) Form to be duly filled and signed by the concerned Bank
