The Defence Institute of Physiology & Allied Sciences (DIPAS) is an Indian defense laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) which was situated in Delhi and it was founded on 20 September 1962. In 1968, the laboratory was relocated within the office of Army base Hospital, Delhi Cantonment. In 1993, the lab was relocated to its present permanent office at Lucknow Road, Timarpur, Delhi. In 1962, a completely developed laboratory was established with the onset area of high altitude physiology, nutrition, and biochemistry of humans in an inexorable stress environment and ergonomic assessment of workstations and man-machine interface.
