It is strongly recommended that all candidates obtain precise and pertinent details concerning the Gauhati High Court Stenographer Exam Pattern 2024, as this pattern holds significant importance for applicants in preparing for the upcoming examination.

Stage 1 Stenography Test

• In Stage 1, to qualify for the Stenography Skill Test, a candidate shall have to secure at least 50% marks i.e. 45 out of 90 marks Skill Test to appear in Stage 2.
• In Stage 2, a candidate shall have to secure at least 40% marks in the English language segment i.e. minimum of 32 out of 80 marks to be considered qualified for appearing in Stage 3. Further, in the Assamese language segment candidates securing at least 40% marks in the Assamese language segment i.e. 8 out of 20 shall be treated as qualified to appear in the Interview/ Viva -voce.
• In stage 3, a candidate shall have to secure at least 60% marks in the interview i.e. 18 out of 30 to be considered qualified.

Note: 

• Candidates equal to 10 (times) times the vacancy (1:10) in order merit in the Stenography Test will be called to appear in Stage 2 i.e. written examination.
• Candidates are either equal to 3 (three) times the number of vacancies (1:3) or as decided by the Hon’ble High Court at an appropriate time, shall be called to appear in the Interview/ Viva-voce based on the marks obtained in the Stenography Skill Test subject to qualify in the written examination.
• Final selection will be made based on the total marks obtained by the candidates in the Stenography Skill Test and Interview/ Viva-Voce only. Where more than one candidate, obtains the same total marks, the candidate who obtains more marks in the Stenography test will get preference. Where the marks obtained by such candidates in the Stenography Test are also the same, then the candidate who is senior in age will get preference.
