Preliminary Exam Pattern 

Exam Pattern for the Written Exam is as Follows

  • Exam Will be MCQ (Multiple  Choice Question) OMR Based.
  • The Paper Will be of 100 Marks with 100 Questions.
  • The Time Duration of the Examination will be 02 Hours.
  • Question Paper Will be Based on General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Psychology, History, Geography, Sociology & Science with mental Ability.
  • Their Will be a Negative Marking of 0.25 Marks for every wrong answer.
  • If a candidate has not chosen any option then 0.5 marks will be considered as negative.
  • Note: The language of the question paper will be Gujarati.

Qualifying Marks – 40%

Mains Exam Pattern

Examination of MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) and OMR (Optical Mark Reader) method will be taken as follows.

Question Paper 1 Gujarati language, Total-100 marks Total, time 2 hours
(Letters will include grammar. Verbal ability. Idioms. Vocabulary, Complihin, etc.)
Question Paper 2 Angoji Language Total – 100 Marks Time – 3 hours
(Questions shall be an objective type which shall include Grammar, Verbal aptitude,
Vocabulary, Idioms, Comprehension, etc.)
Question Paper 3 General Knowledge, Total – 100 Marks Time – 2 hours
(Current Stream and Commuter Knowledge and Psychological Matters)
Question Paper 4 Considering tuberculosis, total marks – 10 time – 2 hours
This chapter will cover the following general knowledge of the law.
(1) Constitution of India
(ii) Dimensional Procedure Code – 1963
(2) Indian Penal Code – 1950
(3) Evidence Act – 1872
(v) Gujarat Police Act-1961
(2) Gujarat Provision Act-1979
(2) Corruption Act -1977
(2) Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Injustice) Act-1979
(2) Motor Vehicle Act-1977.
  • There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks.
  • Question Paper-1 Gujarati and Question Paper-2 English will be standard of Higher Secondary School (HSC) level.
  • Question Paper-2 The standard of general knowledge and psychological matters will be Graduate Devasan as well as the standard of commuter knowledge will be of Higher Secondary School (HSC) level.
  • Candidates must have a minimum qualification of 30 marks to pass the main examination.
