HPE Interview Process
- Round 1: Coding
- Round 2: Technical Round
- Round 3: Managerial Round

Round 1: Coding
This round is conducted in the HirePro platform. The sections that were covered in this round are aptitude, technical and coding sections. In the technical section, questions based on Linux, pthreads, logic gates, Hadoop, Javascript, Networking, OS, and C. were asked. Whereas, in the coding section, there were 2 questions asked, one to find the kth duplicate element from an array of elements, and the other based on subarrays.
Round 2: Technical Round
On clearing the coding round I was called for the technical round. The overall time taken for this round is nearly 1 hour. Here are questions that have been asked in my HP Technical Interview Round.
1. What is a server? What are the components of a server?
2. What is a kernel? Functions of a kernel.
3. What are an inode and superblock?
4. What is virtual memory?
5. What is TLB?
6. When a program is run, what will be its page offset?
7. What are the different IPv4 classes? Where is each of it used?
8. Write a code to check if a linked list has a loop.
9. Write a code to count the number of occurrences of a word in a text file.
Round 3: Managerial Round
Candidates who have shortlisted in the technical were called for the managerial round. The total time taken for this round is 20 minutes.
1. Introduce yourself.
2. What is the OSI reference model? Explain.
3. What is enum?
4. What are signals in OS? Give examples.
5. Explain SDLC.
6. Talk about Operating System for 3 minutes.
7. What are sockets? What are the different sockets used in TCP?
8. Talk about a project from your resume. If you had to add something to it, what would it be and why?
9. What is the difference between struct and union? Give real-world examples for union
10. What are the different software testing types?
Round 4: HR
This is the final round. Which just lasts for 5 minutes. Below were the questions that have been asked in the HP Technical Interview Rouns.
1. Why HPE?

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Interview Experience
The HPE Placement Interview consists of 3 three rounds.
- Round 1: Aptitude
- Round 2: Technical
- Round 3: Coding
Round 1: Aptitude
The HPE Aptitude is an online test. Whereas, it consists of Quantitative, Logical questions, and puzzles sections. In the Quantitative section, questions on the topics like profits and loss, percentages, numerical, data interpretation, statistics, and ratios were asked in this round. The overall time given to complete this round is 20 minutes.
Round 2: Technical
This is an MCQ-based test. Where, questions based on the topics like networking, Linux, Data Structures, Java, and C++ were asked in this round. The overall time limit for this round is 35 questions.
Round 3: Coding
In this round, you can choose any 2 coding questions out of 3. The time given for each one is 20 minutes. The overall difficulty level of this round is moderate. To get through this round, one must think quickly and should be able to execute the code in the given time. It can be noted that once you choose a question, you can not go back again to choose another. Questions that were asked in this round are:
1. Find the sum of elements surrounding a given element in a matrix
2. Change two numbers into the decimal form from another base format and multiply them. Then again converted the resultant to the format given in the input
