The written exam consists of a total of 100 questions with objective-type Multiple Choice Questions. The subjects are English Language, Hindi Language, General Awareness, Current Affairs, and Subject Concerned. The question paper shall be in both English and Hindi languages. HPPSC Assistant Professor Exam Pattern 2025
Screening Test
- The Screening Test consists of 100 MCQs to be completed in 2 hours, with all questions carrying equal marks.
- Each question will have 5 options (A, B, C, D, and E), and the candidate must darken the appropriate circle corresponding to the correct answer.
- One-fourth (0.25) mark will be deducted for each wrong answer, and a candidate not attempting more than 10% of the questions will be disqualified.

- The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
- The total marks for the Subject Knowledge Test are 150.

Interview
The candidates clearing the written exam will be called in for the interview round. The maximum marks set by the commission are 12.5 marks to be scored by the candidate to get selected. Once the candidate gets through the interview, he/she will be listed in the merit list on the basis of the marks obtained by him/her in the written exam and interview.
