A minimum of 60 percent marks OR a CPI/CGPA of 6.0 (on the scale of 10.00) shall be required at the master’s level qualifying examination (M.Tech./ M.E. /M.Des./ M.Sc./ M.A./ M.B.A., etc.) as the specified minimum for admission in a Ph.D. program for concerned disciplines.
Integrated Master+PhD
A minimum of 65 percent marks OR a CPI/CGPA of 7.0 shall be required at the Bachelor’s level qualifying examination (B.Tech./ B.E. /B.Des.) in the concerned disciplines. The candidate must have a valid GATE score of 2018, 2019 or 2020
Master’s Program
Computer Science & Engineering (CSE):
- A minimum of 60 percent marks OR a CPI/CGPA of 6.5 (on the scale of 10.00) or equivalent to the specified minimum for admission in a master’s program
- Valid GATE score of the year 2018/2019/2020 in Computer Science and Information Technology (CS).
Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)
- A minimum of 60 percent marks OR a CPI/CGPA of 6.5 (on the scale of 10.00) or equivalent to the specified minimum for admission in a master’s program
- Valid GATE score of the year 2018/2019/2020 in Electrical Engineering -(EE) or Electronics and Communication Engineering – (EC).
Mechanical Engineering (ME):
- A minimum of 60 percent marks OR a CPI/CGPA of 6.5 (on the scale of 10.00) or equivalent to the specified minimum for admission in a master’s program
- Valid GATE score of the year 2018/2019/2020 in Mechanical Engineering -(ME) or Production and Industrial Engineering (PI) or Engineering Sciences (XE).
Mechatronics:
- A minimum of 60 percent marks OR a CPI/CGPA of 6.5 (on the scale of 10.00) or equivalent to the specified minimum for admission in a master’s program
- Valid GATE score of the year 2018/2019/2020 in Electronics and Communication Engineering -(EC) or Electrical Engineering -(EE) or Computer Science and Information Technology (CS) or Mechanical Engineering -(ME) or Production and Industrial Engineering (PI) or Engineering Sciences (XE).
Master of Design (M.Des.):
- A minimum of 60 percent marks OR a CPI/CGPA of 6.0 (on the scale of 10.00) or equivalent shall be required in the qualifying examination (B.Tech/B.Des. or equivalent) as the specified minimum for admission in a master’s program.
- For admission to two years Masters Programme under the regular category, qualifying marks/ certificate in GATE/CEED. The candidate should have a valid GATE/CEED score.
Part-time Master’s Programme for Working Professionals:
- A minimum of 60 percent marks OR a CPI/CGPA of 6.0 (on the scale of 10.00) or equivalent shall be required in the qualifying examination (B.Tech/B.Des. or equivalent) as the specified minimum for admission in a master’s program.
- For such candidates requirement of GATE/CEED is waived
- The person must be employed in i. defense establishment or ii. in a company/industry having turnover of Rs. 100 crores or more at an executive position and have 10 years or more experience in a company.
