Indian oil is promoting sports in a way over three decades now. Indian Oil’s philosophy is to encourage then sports for future tools. Its aim is to provide large opportunities to the persons who are outstandingly good at sports and to facilitate them for their better work for the corporation as well as for the country. Indian oil corporation had identified ten games. Those are Cricket, Hockey, Badminton, Tennis, Table tennis, Golf, Billards/Snooker, Athletics, Chess & Carrom as thrust games. Indian Oil Sports Scholarship – Overview

Objective – Indian Oil Sports Scholarships

The main objective under providing the Indian oil Scholarship is to encourage the best-talented players and to create a pool of sports sponsors from whom to select the sport appointees to the corporation.

Game Wise Scholarships

The scholarship will be provided based on two categories. Those are :

1. Elite Scholar,
2. Scholar in the sports arena.

Indian Oil Sports Scholarship – Game-wise Vacancies

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Oil Sports Scholarship

• The applicants must belong to the age limit of 13 – 19.
• Performance

•  In Athletics, individual events are considered. not from other countries.
•  In Archery, for the selection of all categories like recurve, compound and Indian round will be considered.
•  In swimming, only individual events will be considered such as freestyle, Back Store, Brest Store, and Butterfly will be considered.
•  Events under Artistic Gymnastic will be considered.
•  In Kabaddi, Beach Kabaddi will not be considered.
•  In Volley Ball, Beach Volley Ball will not be considered.
•  In Football, Futsal / 7 a side Football participation will not be considered.
•  In Hockey, 5 a side Tournament will not be considered.
•  In Chess, only events under the Classical Time Control will be considered.
• In the case of Team Games, representation in the latest National Level Tournament(National Tournament immediately preceding the date of advertisement) will be considered. In case if there are more candidates than the vacancies, then the player reaching the state which has reached the level in Nationals will be given prior.
• In the case of the individual games, ranking/position in the latest National Level Tournament(National Tournament immediately preceding the date of advertisement) will be considered. In case if there are more candidates than the vacancies, then the player reaching the state which has reached the level in Nationals will be ranked.

Indian Oil Sports Scholarship – Duration

The Scholarship will be issued for 3 years of the time period. The Scholarship will be renewed in the 3rd 7 2nd year of the candidate based on the previous performance.

Indian Oil Sports Scholarship Rewards

Condition to Awards of Indian Oil Sports Scholarship

• If the application is not submitted in line with Terms and Conditions, then the application is liable for rejection.
• The sports scholarship player will not be entitled to draw any other scholarship/ financial aid/ stipend from any other source whatsoever for sporting activity.
• There is no obligation on the part of IOC to give employment to the Indian Oil Sports Scholars.
• Age Proof/ Performance Certificates of shortlisted players shall be verified with originals at IOC’s designated offices on dates that will be informed to the shortlisted players subsequently. The players will be required to visit IOC’s designated offices at their own expense.

Candidates are requested to attach:

• Age Proof Certificate – any one of matriculation certificate having Birth Date, school leaving certificate, birth certificate issued by Municipality/ Gram Panchayat, Passport or Aadhar Card.
• Performance Certificate – Two Certificates of the highest Performance achieved may be attached – At least one Certificate is mandatory.

How To Submit Online Indian Oil Sports Scholarship Application Form?

• Go to the official site of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd @ iocl.com.
• Click on ‘Apply Online’.
• Fill all the columns given in the application form.
• Upload a passport size photo, Age proof certificate, and Performance certificate.
• Then submit in online.
• Once submitted, changes cannot be done.
• The final list will be sent in the email and SMS on the registered mobile number by the candidate.
