About JIS University – jisuniversity.ac.in
JIS group educational Initiatives – the biggest academic conglomerate of eastern India with 26 institutions, 126 programs, and 35,000 students began its journey eighteen years back. The journey, though challenging, has been quite a successful one. JIS University was established through the act of the govt. of West Bengal, viz. JIS University Act, 2014 that came into force in February 2015. The University incorporates a mission to be one amongst the highest class universities in India and a most well-liked destination for students, research scholars and faculty members alike.
Education in today’s world has become industry need-oriented and it needs teaching methodologies to be intentional in such a manner that suits this demand. the learning Management Systems (LMS) that JIS University has introduced can nurture future professionals who are committed towards transformation in our society. The main objective is to provide instructions, teaching, coaching, and research in varied branches and specialized fields of Science, Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, Management, Law, Social Sciences and Education.
Different integrated courses like BBA-MBA (H) and BBA-LLB (H) are offered. The University provides Ph.D. programs in varied courses in addition. Students are offered foreign language classes and are exposed to international student internships through varied student exchange programs with foreign universities. The University continuously encourages entrepreneurship and ability development among the scholars for promoting entrepreneurship, employability, and self-employment.
JIS University Admissions
- For the UG course s admissions must be passed in the 10+2 and should get the good score in JET or JIS group online entrance test.
- Selected candidates must report at the University as per the prescribed schedule.
- PG programs like M.Ed, M.A, M.Com, M.Sc, etc. admissions can be offered to the students in different disciplines.
- Candidates can apply for the PG programs in online or offline.
- For Ph.D admissions. candidate must hold with the Master’s degree for the eligible candidate’s entrance test will be conducted by the university.
- Based on the performance in the test, the interview will be conducted to the selected students.
