A ration card is issued by each state in India to provide food and other facilities to poor families at affordable rates. Ration cards can be used for other purposes also such as the identification process in any of the schemes which have been implemented by the government of India.

Eligibility Criteria for J&K Ration Card

• The applicant must be a native citizen of the J&K state.
• Households not already having ration cards in the state are eligible.
• Newly married couples can apply for a new ration card.
• Citizens having temporary ration cards whose date has expired are eligible.

Benefits of J&K Ration Card

The people of the J&K state will receive 5 kgs of rice and 5 kgs of additional grains from the state government for each member of the family.

Application Fee for J&K Ration Card

There is no need to pay money for the application of the J&K Ration Card. However, applicants can collect their ration card from the concerned authorities on payment of Rs 5/- per copy.

How To Apply for J&K Ration Card?

• Visit the official website.Download the Application Form for Ration Card.
• Fill out the form with appropriate details and sign in it where ever necessary.
• Attach all the required documents to it.
• Now you will have to visit the respective office and submit the form to apply for a ration card.
• On accepting your application and checking the documents, the officials issue a receipt as an acknowledgment.
• Keep safe of the receipt.
• After the completion of the process by the Supply Officer, the process will be successful.
• The applicant will receive the ration card.
• The ration card will be received through the post or on hand.

All the applicants can submit the J&K Ration Card online application form and new ration cards would be issued within 15 days of submission of the application. However, in certain cases, one month time is required to issue a new ration card.

• Click on “Reports ” under the “MIS & Reports” column.
• On the next page, you will get a link with the title “RATION CARD DRILLDOWN REPORT”, Click on it.
• Now the district-wise J&K ration card list will appear on your screen as shown below image.

• Now you will have to select the name of the district and J&K tehsil-wise ration card list.
• Next click on the Village name to open the FPS-wise J&K Ration Card List.
• Now you have to click on the FPS ID to open the Jammu and Kashmir Ration Card List.
• As another option, you can also click the link on the numbers given under the different columns such as BPL, AAY, PHH, etc. to check your name in the officially released list of ration cardholders in the village.
• Here candidates can perform their name search in the list of eligible ration card beneficiaries of J & K.
