About Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Anantapur | jntua.ac.in
JNTUA College of Engineering Anantapur was established in the year 1946. In 1972 this college is under the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad. Later it formed into Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur from August 2008. JNTUA is located in 185 acres of land. The JNTUA College of Engineering, Pulivendula, established in the year 2006.

And Oil Technology Research Institute (OTRI), Anantapur, established in the year 1948 also became constituent units of JNTUA. A new constituent college – JNTUA College of Engineering, Kalikiri established in 2013 also came under the fold of JNTUA. The OTRI was later renamed as Oil Technology and Pharmaceutical Research Institute (OTPRI), in 2016. JNTUA has 98 Engineering Colleges, 33 Pharmacy Colleges and 29 stand-alone MBA/MCA colleges affiliated to it.
JNTUA Admission Process
JNTU Anantapur provides education for Undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
B.Tech in Constituent Colleges
The candidate who wants to join B.Tech in JNTU Anantapur has to pass Intermediate examinations or Equivalent Examinations with Maths, Physics, and chemistry. And they have to secure the rank in the EAMCET conducted by the APSCHE.
B.Tech in Affiliated Colleges
The Candidate has to complete Intermediate with Maths, Physics, and chemistry. And it has the Following pattern
A) The seats will be filled by the convener, EAMCET.
B) Seats will be filled by the Management as per Norms by Govt of Andhra Pradesh.
For Lateral Entry:
As per the Norms of Andhra Pradesh, the student who has qualified the Diploma/Degree and who have secured the rank in ECET Examination are eligible for Admission.
M.Tech in Constituent Colleges
The candidate who wants to join M.Tech has to complete their Degree and to qualify the GATE and PGECET. The preference for admissions are Valid GATE rank/ valid PGECET rank/ Percentage in Qualifying examination must be 50%. If the seats are leftover in Convener Quota, they will be filled in the spot admissions.
M.Tech in Affiliated Colleges
As per stipulations of APSCHE admissions are as follows
A) Seats will be filled by PGECET based on PGECET/GATE Score.
B) Seats are filled by the management as per Norms of Andhra Pradesh.
