About JNTUH – jntuh.ac.in
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, was established on 2nd October 1972 by the Legislature of the State of Andhra Pradesh as the first Technological University in the country. It has been 44 years in providing quality technological education of relevance in the State of Andhra Pradesh. After 36 years of existence, it was restructured into 4 different Universities by the Government vide Government Ordinance No.13, dated 18th August 2008 and Act of State Legislature No.30 dated September 2008 and this new University has been designated as Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH).
JNTUH is situated in a sprawling 89-acre campus at Kukatpally, Hyderabad. It has now 4 Constituent Engineering Colleges, that are located at Hyderabad, Kondagattu (Jagithyal), Manthani and Sultanpur (Medak Dist.) and 15 other constituent units on Hyderabad campus. JNTUH has 423 affiliated colleges spread over the Telangana State. JNTUH has more than 3.50 lakhs students on rolls. The University has Memoranda of University with many national and international organizations. JNTUH offers many UG, PG, M.Phil, PhD, etc courses.
JNTUH Admissions
- Candidates seeking for the admissions in B.Tech is done based on the rank in TS-EAMCET. Three years degree or diploma holders can get through the TS- ECET.
- Admissions to regular M.Tech. or M.Pharmacy or M.B.A. & M.C.A. programs in constituent colleges/Units of the University are based on GATE or PGECET or GPAT or ICET ranking respectively conducted by Telangana State Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad.
- Admissions for the M.Tech, M.Pharmacy, M.C.Programs are categorized into 3 types, that are regular streams, Sponsored category, Self Supporting.
- M.Sc admission will be offered to the students based on the performance in the entrance test conducted by the JNTUH.
- Part-time M.Tech. or M.Sc. or M.B.A. or PGDNT Programmes will be done based on performance in the Entrance Examination conducted by JNT University Hyderabad.
- Ph.D. / M.Phil. / M.S. Research Programs admissions can be done based on the entrance test and interview conducted by JNTUH, Hyderabad. Candidates qualified in NET / SLET need not attend for the written test, they must attend for the interview.
- P.G. Diploma programs will be made based on the efficiency in the entrance test conducted by the JNT University Hyderabad.
