KPSC Assistant Engineer Syllabus 2024

Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) has given the KPSC Assistant Engineer Syllabus 2024 on their website. We had given the KPSC Assistant Engineer Exam Pattern 2024 here in an understandable way for the aspirants. There will be 2 Papers in the examination. Paper I is a General Paper conducted for 200 Marks for a time duration of 1 and Half Hours. Paper II is a Specific Paper conducted for 200 Marks for a time duration of 2 Hours. There will be a negative marking of 1/4th mark for every wrong answer. The Examination will be an offline-OMR type or Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) which will be updated later by the officials on their website.

Concrete Making Materials- Manufacture of Cements, types of cemciana aggregates, properties and testing, Water, admixture. Fresh concrete, workability, compactio curing. Strength of concrete, elasticity, shrinkage and creep. Durability of concrete. Reinforced concrete, paints, enamels, varnishes, tar, bitumen, asplant, properties ana use.
  • Modern materials: plastic, rubber, polymer, fibre reinforece plastics, manufacture, properties and use. Introduction to composites and smart materials.
  • Building Construction: Foundations: Stone Masonry; Brick Masonry-Rules for bonding,

Solid Mechanics

  • Fundamentals of force system. Concept of Rigid body and deformable bodies. Free body diagrams.

Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering
