KSET 2023 Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Karnataka SET 2023, candidates must be having the following qualifications.
- Candidates must have obtained 55% marks (not rounded off) in General Category Examinations from a University / Institute of Higher Education recognized by UGC or equivalent. Scheduled Caste (SC). Scheduled Tribe (ST). Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Candidates, Candidates belonging to (Category – I, IIA, IIIA, and IIIB) Group and Third Gender Candidates %. Must have secured 50% marks (not rounded off).
- Masters degree holders and Masters degree students studying in the current academic year (first and second) are eligible to take the Cassette examination. However, the candidates who are currently studying will be admitted to take the examination only provisionally and they have passed Master’s Degree or equivalent examination with 55% marks from General Category and Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), All Handicapped (PWD). Visually Impaired / (Category – I, IIA, IIIA, and IIIB) Candidates and Third Gender Candidates % Only those candidates who have secured 50% marks and are qualified can get Assistant Professor Eligibility Certificate if they submit their Master’s Degree mark sheets within two years from the date of declaration of KSET examination result. Else their eligibility will be cancelled.
