Larsen & Toubro Infotech Interview Experience – for Freshers

Candidate #1 – LTI Interview Experience

Job Role – SDE Level 1

Status – Selected

Difficulty Level – Moderate

I got an Interview Opportunity for LTI’s Infinity coding Challenge for SDE Level 1. So, here is my L&T Infotech Interview Experience that can help the students who are aspiring for it.

Basically, L&T Infotech Recruitment Process contains 3 rounds.

  • Coding Round
  • Technical Round
  • HR Round.

Round 1: Coding Round

This round is usually about coding and solving questions will be entirely dependent on an individual’s Problem-Solving skills. If you are a person who has the ability to solve any problem without any complications then this round is easy for you.

Once, I successfully completed my coding round, I called for L&T Infotech Technical Interview.

Round 2: Technical Interview

My Technical Interview has lasted for 30 mins. Firstly, the interviewer took my resume and asked me to introduce myself. After I’m done explaining myself, slowly the interviewer started asking questions from my resume (Where I have listed my projects & internship experiences).

1. Asked me about my project (A brief explanation about my project)

2. The programming languages I’ve used in my project.

3. What is Object-Oriented Programming

4. What is Polymorphism (Types of Polymorphism, Implementation, etc)

5. What are the advantages of using OOPS?

6. What is the difference between Java and C++?

The whole technical round just went more like a discussion round than an interview. It made me less nervous and it helped me to give my answers with confidence. Once, I was done with my technical round I was allowed to appear for the last and final round which is HR.

Round 3: HR Interview

The first & foremost thing the interviewer asked me is to tell something about myself (This is like an ice-breaking question you can expect in any round. So, try to avoid giving mugged-up answers).

And some of the HR questions that are provided below were asked to me. This will give you an idea of my overall LTI HR Interview Experience.

1. Suppose you win the $5 million in a lottery, then, would you still work?

2. Would you do something that you consider unethical in order to save your job?

3. What motivates you to do good work?

4. Strengths and Weakness

And few more questions on behavioral and situation-based questions were asked to test my personal character. After the tiresome interview, at last, I got a result stating I was Selected.

Candidate #2 – Larsen & Toubro Infotech Interview Experience (On-Campus)

L&T Infotech recruitment has been recently conducted in our college. And it contains 3 rounds (Aptitude (Online Assessment), Technical Interview, HR Interview).

Round 1 – Online Assessment 

This Online Assessment alone has 5 sections.

  • Quantitative Aptitude MCQ – 10 Questions – 10 Mins
  • Logical Reasoning MCQ – 10 Questions – 10 Mins
  • Verbal Reasoning MCQ – 10 Questions – 10 Mins
  • Technical MCQ – 20 Questions – 20 Mins
  • Paragraph Writing – 1 Topic – 10 Mins

It may come across as a difficult round for some candidates. But it depends on the practice an individual has made for the online test. And you need to remember that this round contains a sectional cut-off. That means you need to do well in each & every section to get shortlisted for further rounds.

Round 2 – Technical Interview

The interviewer was very calm and friendly and it reduced my nervousness completely. He first asked me about myself (A brief Introduction about myself) and later he introduced himself. And my interview went for around 25-30 mins.

Below are some of the technical questions that I’ve faced during my technical round.

1. Do you know any trending technology?

2. Did you do any courses on that technology?

3. What is data structure?

4. What is a stack?

5. Tell me about the file storage and data storage?

6. How much do you know Python?

7. what is polymorphism?

8. what is operator overloading?

9. What is Inheritance?

10. Basic questions from DBMS SQL Queries

Note: Before appearing for the Technical Interview just refer to the basics from subjects like OS, Computer Networks, Java, Data Structures, and DBMS. Mostly I felt, the interviewer is testing knowledge about OOPS concepts (So be thorough in them).

Round 3 – HR Interview

Remember that once you complete your technical round, 90% decision of your selection will be made through TR alone. So, don’t be nervous about the final result to know whether you will be selected or not. In HR the interviewer just tested my confidence and my ability to communicate clearly & my language fluency.

So, here are some of the HR questions I remember facing in the HR Interview.

1. Tell me about yourself?

2. What was your essay topic?

3. Can you summarize your essay?

4. What is the most challenging moment in your life?

5. Three qualities to be a successful engineer?

6. What one quality do you want to improve in yourself?

7. Are you flexible for reallocation & working night shifts?

At last, the discussion about the salary package and employment bond is done, the Interview asked me to wait for my final result of selection which he told me that they will mail in some days. And after a long wait of 1 week, I got a confirmation mail about my selection and I was so happy about it.
