The establishment of Matsya University, Alwar was announced in the budget speech of 2012-13 by Hon’ble chief minister of Rajasthan. Gazette notification of the University was done on 23-08-2012. Raj Rishi Bharahtri Matsya University Alwar is the only University in the Rajasthan catering to the needs of the students of the Alwar district.
