- Develop and maintain the overall architecture strategy for mainframe applications.
- Design scalable, reliable, and secure mainframe solutions that meet business needs.
- Develop a comprehensive migration strategy, including timelines, resources, and risk management.
- Design comprehensive modernization roadmaps that outline key phases, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and clarify functional and non-functional requirements.
- Assess the impact of new technologies and processes on existing systems.
- Lead the design of system integrations and data flows between mainframe and modern platforms.
- Ensure that solutions adhere to best practices in performance, security, and compliance.
- Identify suitable technologies (e.g., cloud platforms, microservices, APIs) to replace or enhance legacy systems.
- Work closely with development teams, providing architectural guidance and ensuring adherence to design principles.
- Lead the migration activities, coordinating with development, testing, and operations teams.
- Monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards. Provide expertise in refactoring and optimizing legacy codebases.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with mainframe technologies (e.g., COBOL, CICS, DB2) and contemporary programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, .NET).
- Good Hands on Experience of CA-ADS programming Language in developing the online and Batch applications.
- Good Experience in Mainframe Migration Projects using tools like Astadia, AWS Blu Insights.
- Good Exposure on Relational Database DB2, Oracle and SQL.
- Very Good Working Knowledge on Utility Programs SORT, MERGE and JCL PROC.
- Strong knowledge of file systems, including VSAM file structures and efficient data handling.
- Strong problem-solving skills, capable of resolving critical incidents in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams including business analysts, testers, and infrastructure teams.
