MHRD Scholarship – Eligibility, Rewards, Application Form: The Ministry of Human Resource Development handles the education sector and hence is responsible for various scholarship programs. The Ministry of Resources would like to support and help the needy, economically, weaker and merit scholars, which is needy and the merit-scholarship.

It wanted to help both the Government and private colleges/ Universities merit students. The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education offers three National and three International Scholarships to the students who meet the criteria and eligibility for these scholarships. MHRD Scholarships

The National Scholarships are:

• This scholarship is the Central Sector Scheme for the students of College and University.
• Special Scholarship for Jammu and Kashmir.
• Scholarship Scheme is for Students from the Non-Hindi Speaking States for Post Matric Studies in Hindi.

The International/ External Scholarships are:

• Commonwealth Scholarship for the United Kingdom and New Zealand.
• Scholarships offered by China, Mexico, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Israel, and Italy.
• Agatha Harrison Memorial Scholarship.

Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College & University Students

• The scholarship is offered to students who are studying in a government recognized engineering or medical college.
• The students need to score above 80 percent in their 12th standard.
• The weaker sections of the society can apply to this scholarship.

MHRD Scholarship-Special Scholarship for Jammu and Kashmir

• The candidates who belong to Jammu and Kashmir can apply for the scholarship.
• This Scholarship is granted by the office of Prime Minister of India.
• It is offered to students who are the domicile of Jammu and Kashmir and are planning to pursue their degree in any field.
• The eligibility criteria state that the student must be a resident of Jammu and Kashmir and has completed their 12th standard from J&K Board or CBSE.

MHRD Scholarship-Scheme of Scholarship to Students from the Non-Hindi Speaking States for Post Matric Studies in Hindi

• The objective of this scholarship is to encourage the study of Hindi in the Non-Hindi Speaking States.
• The Scholarship expands from 11th standard to Ph.D.
• The scholarship is offered to students who study Hindi in a state that does not have Hindi as their official language.

Commonwealth Scholarship for the United Kingdom and New Zealand

• This scholarship is offered to students who are planning to pursue their master’s degree in any of the given fields specified under the scholarship.
• The scholarship funds students tuition fees and expenses in order to study in either the UK or New Zealand
• The applicant must complete their bachelor’s degree in a college recognized by the government of India.
• Scholarships offered by China, Mexico, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Israel, and Italy.
