- Possess an M.B.B.S. degree or any other qualification specified in the first or second schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956):
- A candidate appointed to the said post shall be required to get himself registered under the Maharashtra Medical Council Act, 1965 (Mah. XLVI of 1965) before joining the post, unless he has already been so registered or his name is borne on the Indian Medical Register maintained under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).
