The National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) University of Law was established in 1998 by a Statute of the State of Andhra Pradesh. The university offers undergrad and postgraduate programs in law and postgraduate programs in business administration. It is an autonomous and public-funded premier varsity for legal studies. For admissions in NALSAR, a candidate needs to score in CLAT/ CAT/ CMAT/ XAT/ GMAT. NALSAR UNIVERSITY OF LAW is Accredited in ‘A+’ grade with a score 3.60 on a four-point scale by NAAC. The school of law is cover fifty-five acres (22 hectares), divided into five precincts.

The first is that the administrative Block that is adjacent to the educational Block. - BA LLB admissions will be offered to the candidates based on the CLAT score. On the rank basis, the merit list will be prepared based on its admission will be allotted.
- Candidates need to attend for the SOP exam based on the score. Candidates will be shortlisted for the Group Discussion round and Based on the performance in GD. Selected people will be called for the personal interview.
- For M.Phil and PhD admissions, candidates need to appear for the written test conducted by the authorities to get selected for the interview process.
- The interview will be based on the research methodology and survey of the literature for that candidates need to submit 1000 words which have a hypothesis and the statement of the problem prior to the interview session.
- Candidates who have cleared the UGC-NET/ JRF/ SLET/ M.Phil need not attend for the entrance test. They can be called for a personal interview.
