About National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal
The National Institute of Technology, Warangal (NIT Warangal or NITW) could be a public engineering establishment settled in Warangal, India. It is recognized as an associate degree Institute of National Importance by the govt. of the Republic of India. The foundation stone for this institute was laid by then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru in 1959, the first in the chain of 31 NITs (formerly known as RECs) in the country. The institute was renamed because of the National Institute of Technology, Warangal in 2002.

National Institute of Technology (NIT), antecedently called Regional school of Engineering. It was established by the Government of India in 1959. The college’s stone was arranged by Pandit Nehru for this institute on October ten, 1959, being the first in the chain of 30 NITs (formerly known as the RECs). A well-known institute with dedicated school tries to realize higher levels of technical excellence.UNESCO and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland are an excellent part of the event of the many activities undertaken within the past. They have conjointly received World Bank help below the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme.
NIT Warangal Admission Process
- The UG students of JEE Mains, JAM, CAT and NIMCET, candidates have to apply at the official website of the conducting bodies.
- For Ph.D. courses, candidates can fill the application form available at NIT, Warangal website. Candidates can follow these steps:
- Application forms can be downloaded from the admissions tab under the Academics link at the home page of NIT Warangal.
- Click on the Ph.D. link and download the notification and the attached form.
- Fill the form correctly
- The application fee is INR 1000 has to be paid through a Demand Draft issued in favor of “The Director, NIT Warangal” payable at SBH, NIT Warangal Branch.
The following documents have to be attached along with the application form:
- Class 10th mark sheet (proof of D.O.B)
- Class 12th mark sheet
- Mark sheet/ Provisional Certificate of the qualifying examination
- Caste certificate (SC/ ST candidates)
- Scorecard of GATE/NET/GMAT/CAT
- No objection certificate from employer, if employed.
