Oil India Jobs 2023 – Educational Qualifications
1. Contractual Electrical Supervisor
(i) Class 10 from Government Recognized Education Board.
(ii) 03 (Three) years Diploma in Electrical Engineering discipline from Government Recognized Polytechnic.
(iii) Valid Electrical Supervisory Certificate of Competency with authorization for Part- 1, 2, 3, 4 & 8 (Mining) issued by Electrical Licensing Board, Government of Assam.
(iv) Minimum 03 (Three) years post qualification relevant work experience in Drilling/ Workover Rig with expertise in carrying out fault-finding analysis, the rectification of faults, operation, and maintenance of all the electrical equipment of Drilling/ Workover Rig.
2. Contractual Assistant Rig Electrician
(i) Class 10 from Government Recognized Education Board. (ii) 02 (two) years course in Electrician Trade from Government Recognized Institute.
(iii) Valid Electrical Workman’s Permit with authorization for Part/ Class-I & II issued by Electrical Licensing Board, Government of Assam.
(iv) Minimum 02 (Two) years post qualification relevant work experience in operation and maintenance of electrical equipment in Drilling/ Workover Rig with proper knowledge and skills in reading circuits, communicating, detecting, and rectifying faults.
3. Contractual Assistant Fitter
(i) Class 10 from Government Recognized Education Board.
(ii) Trade certificate in Fitter trade from Government Recognized Institute.
(iii) Minimum 02 (Two) years post qualification work experience in maintenance of Centrifugal pump sets/ Iron Removal (IR) filters/ Fabrication of pipeline jobs/ Water Supply set up/ maintenance of mechanical workshop setup or Installation in Govt./ Semi Govt./ PSU/ Public Limited Organizations.
4. Contractual Assistant Diesel Mechanic
(i) Class 10 from Government Recognized Education Board.
(ii) Trade certificate in Diesel Mechanic Trade from Government Recognized Institute.
(iii) Minimum 02 (Two) years post qualification work experience in maintenance of diesel or gas engines/ reciprocating or centrifugal pump sets/ reciprocating or screw air compressors in the Oil and Gas Industry.
5. Contractual Rig Maintenance Assistant
(i) Class 10 from Government Recognized Education Board.
(ii) Trade certificate in any trade from Government Recognized Institute.
(iii) Minimum 04 (Four) years post qualification relevant experience of working in drilling rigs as topman/ floorman/ maintenance crew.
iv) Knowledge & experience of working at heights like crown-block, assembling & dismantling of drilling rig mast & substructure, Placement & maintenance of mud-tank system, etc. is essential. *Preference will be given to those with drilling rig work experience in maintenance activities of Draw-works, solid-control equipment including screen replacement, Pneumatic & Hydraulic Rig Floor equipment, and their connections.
6. Contractual Assistant Mechanic-Pump/ Assistant Mechanic-ICE
(i) Class 10 from Government Recognized Education Board.
(ii) Trade certificate in Mechanic Diesel/ Fitter/ Mechanic Motor Vehicle trade from Government Recognized Institute.
(iii) Minimum 02 (Two) years post qualification relevant work experience as Assistant Mechanic (Pump) or Assistant Mechanic (ICE).
(iv) Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of centrifugal and reciprocating pumps/ knowledge of the operation of ICE engines is essential.

Oil India Assistant Mechanic Salary 2023
(A) Contractual Electrical Supervisor
Fixed emolument: Rs. 19,500.00 (Rupees Nineteen Thousand and Five Hundred) only per month based on attendance including paid leave, holiday, if any.
Variable emolument: Rs. 750.00 (Rupees Seven Hundred and Fifty) only per day for each working day.
(B) Contractual Assistant Rig Electrician, Contractual Assistant Fitter, Contractual Assistant Diesel Mechanic, Contractual Rig Maintenance Assistant, Contractual Assistant Mechanic-Pump/ Assistant Mechanic-ICE
Fixed emolument: Rs. 16,640.00 (Rupees Sixteen Thousand Six Hundred and Forty) only per month based on attendance including paid leave, holiday, if any.
Variable emolument: Rs. 640.00 (Rupees Six Hundred and Forty) only per day for each working day.
Period of Contractual Engagement
The engagement will be purely on a contractual basis. The initial period of the contractual engagement will be for a period of 06 (Six) months, which is extendable by another tenure of 06 (Six) months subject to departmental requirements, performance and conduct of the incumbent, medical fitness, etc. The maximum period of contractual engagement will be 01 (One) year only.
