OSSC Selection Process
Odisha Staff Selection Commission will recruit the candidates based on the Preliminary Exam, Physical Test, Main Written Exam, Computer Skill Test, Viva- Voce – Cum – Psychological Test.
1. Preliminary Examination: Candidates 20 times the vacancies shall be shortlisted for the next level which is the Physical Test.
2. Physical Test: The candidates who will qualify for the physical test shall be allowed to attend for Main Written Examination.
3. Main Written Exam: Candidates three times of vacancies in order of merit category-wise based on the marks secured in the written examination shall be shortlisted for Viva-Voce-Cum-Psychological Test.
Final Selection: The final selected candidate’s list will be prepared in order of merit category-wise based on the marks secured in the Main Written Exam and Viva-Voce-Cum- Psychological Test.
OSSC Civil Defense Instructor Exam Pattern
OSSC Civil Defense Instructor’s written examination is a part of the selection procedure. The Odisha Staff Selection Commission will conduct the Preliminary Examination which is the objective type that will be set for 100 marks and 0.25 is the negative mark for each wrong answer. As we discussed in the selection procedure the candidates qualified in the preliminary examination and Physical test will be moved to write the Main Written Examination. The Main Written Examination consists of 4 papers which are
- General English is a subjective type (theory) and consists of 50 marks.
- Odia Language is a subjective type of paper (theory) and will be for 50 marks.
- General Studies is an objective type paper(MCQ) which will be set for 200 marks and 0.5 marks will be deducted as a penalty for each wrong answer.
- Computer Skill Test is an objective type paper(MCQ) which will be for 50 marks and the qualifying mark is 17.
