PAU 2020 Eligibility

PAU 2020 Application Fee
Online Mode
Applicants have to pay Rs. 5640/- for each Entrance Test that includes the cost of downloaded form. Prospectus (Rs. 610/- for additional options in MET-Agri & MET-Community Science).
Offline Mode
Applicants have to pay Rs.4200/- for each Entrance Test (Rs.610/- for additional option in MET-Agri & MET-Community Science) in addition to the cost of the Prospectus (Rs. 2120/- at the Counter or Rs.2260/- by Post).

PAU 2020 Admit Card
Applicants can download the PAU 2020 Admit Card from the PAU website (www.pau.edu). To download the PAU 2020 Admit Card Online applicants have to enter the Date of Birth and UID (UID will appear on the top of the application form as well as on the Bank Challan Form downloaded & printed by the candidate). And Offline applicants have to enter the Date of Birth and Prospectus Number.

PAU 2020 Exam Pattern
Agriculture Aptitude Test (AAT)
The Agriculture Aptitude Test shall be of one and a half hour duration comprising of 100 multiple choice questions each of one mark to be attempted on the OMR sheet. Each correct answer will carry one mark whereas the 1/4 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. The medium of question paper will be both in English and Punjabi.
Common Entrance Test (CET)
The syllabi of the Common Entrance Test (CET) will be the same as the syllabi of 10+2 of the Punjab School Education Board (both years i.e., +1 and +2). Each correct answer will carry one mark whereas the 1/4 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. The weightage for the correct and incorrect answer will be double in the case of Mathematics subject.
Master’s Entrance Test (MET)
The candidates who are willing to study or do master’s in Agricultural Meteorology, Agronomy, Entomology, Extension Education, Food Technology, Forestry, Horticulture (Floriculture & Landscaping), Horticulture (Fruit Science), Horticulture (Vegetable Science), Plant Breeding & Genetics, Plant Pathology, Soil Science, Biotechnology, can take the Master’s entrance test. Admission in the Master’s Programme will be now made through the MET (Master’s Entrance Test) 2020.
PAU 2020 Syllabus
Agriculture Aptitude Test (AAT)
The question paper shall have four sections as under:
- Section-I: Agriculture Aptitude: It will consist of 50 questions.
- Section-II: General Science: It will consist of 30 questions.
- Section-III: General English: It will consist of 10 questions.
- Section-IV: Mathematics: It will consist of 10 questions.
Common Entrance Test (CET)
- The question paper will have three sections as under:
- Compulsory sections: Physics: 66 questions of one mark each. Chemistry: 66 questions of one mark each. These two sections are compulsory for all candidates.
- Section with option Mathematics/ Biology/ Agriculture/ Home Science 68 questions of one mark each for Biology or Agriculture or Home Science or 34 questions of two marks each for Mathematics.
