Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies popularly referred to as RGUKT Nuzvid is a state university placed in Nuzvid. This university has students strength of over 6,000 and three hundred faculty, The university is providing 6 years integrated B.Tech program in six major branches & M.Tech in Computational Engineering. the thought to make IIITs in Andhra Pradesh came in April 2007, at the request of the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He was dissatisfied with the opportunities accessible to the rural youth and needed to line up a minimum of IIITs within the regions of Andhra Pradesh which might guarantee higher opportunities for rural students.

- To secure admissions into Ph.D. progamme, candidates have to appear in a Written Test followed by an Interview.
- Admission to six-year integrated B.Tech courses is offered on the basis of marks in 10+2 followed by counselling.
- Candidates who have qualified in the CSIR NET/ UGC NET/ JRF/ GATE or any other equivalent examination are also eligible to apply for the Ph.D. program.
