Railway Recruitment Board Level 1 Selection Process
Aspirants who have applied for the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Recruitment under the Centralized Employment Notice must and should check the RRBs/ RRCs Level 1 Selection Process from the current section. So that you can move and prepare further.
- Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Document Verification (DV) and
- Medical Examination (ME)
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Candidates who qualify for the CBT will be called for PET. The PET is qualifying in nature. Passing the PET is mandatory to go forward with document verification. The Criteria for the Physical Efficiency Test are as below:

| Lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in a single chance without putting the weight down. | Lift and carry a weight of 20 kg for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in a single chance without putting the weight down. |
RRB Group D Test Pattern
All the eligible candidates have to undergo a Computer Test on the specified date, time, and venue as per the e-call letter to be downloaded by the candidates from the websites of RRBs/ RRCs. Note
- The examination duration will be 120 Minutes for eligible PwBD candidates accompanied by a Scribe.
- The section-wise distribution given in the above table is only indicative and there may be some variation in the actual question paper. There will be negative marking and 1/3 marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
- Minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories: UR-40%, EWS-40%, OBC (Creamy layer) -30%, SC-30%, ST-30%. This percentage of marks for eligibility may be relaxed by 2% for PwBD candidates in case of a shortage of PwBD candidates against vacancies reserved for them.
- Where a second stage CBT is deemed necessary and held, the Railway Administration reserves the right to treat the first stage Computer Based Test (CBT) as a qualifying test to shortlist a reasonable number of candidates for the second stage.
