SAP Recruitment Process for Freshers

As a part of the SAP Selection Process, the SAP Hiring Team follows 4 round process to hire the candidates for the required job roles. SAP team focuses on communication, leadership, and innovative skills while selecting the candidates. Usually, the below-mentioned process will be followed by the SAP when they organize SAP On-Campus Drives in the colleges.

SAP Online Test

This is the preliminary round that the candidates were subjected to. Whereas, the SAP Online Test includes 25 aptitude questions and 2-3 coding questions. However, as this is a screening round, the elimination of the candidates will be there.

Some of the coding questions that will be asked in the SAP Online Exam

  1. What is “I” in ACID properties?

2. What do you mean by “write ahead logging” in DBMS?

3. What are the various techniques by which fault tolerance can be ensured in systems? (Different redundancy techniques)

4. A pair of redundant systems is operating. Give us a method of ensuring that when one of them goes down, the other one will take over its operation.

5. Describe the virtual function in C++.

6. Describe a few deadlock avoidance schemes.

7. What do you understand by clustering index?

8. There is a program that inserts and deletes nodes in a sorted singly linked list. There is a bug in one of the modules. Give us a method of debugging it.

SAP Technical Interview Round

Candidates who have cleared the SAP Online Test will proceed to the SAP Technical Round. In this round, the candidates have to go through 2 phases. To pass this round the candidates were expected to have knowledge in areas like C, C++, Java, Operating Systems, Data structures, etc.,

  1. Differentiate between primary and foreign key.

2. What do you understand by an empty class? What is the functionality which it offers in Java?

3. What do you understand by the term cloud computing?

4. Devise a program to check whether a binary tree is BST or not.

5. Devise an algorithm to check if there is a loop in a doubly-linked list.

6. Describe some salient features of the cloud?

7. Describe macros in Excel. Explain how they are used.

8. Explain your summer training project.

9. Describe the difference between a Public and Private cloud.

10. How would you define HADOOP? Describe the underlying principle of HADOOP and illustrate some of its features like MapReduce?

11. How would you swap the Kth node from beginning with Kth node from end in a Linked List.

12. Suppose that two of the nodes of a Binary Search Tree (BST) are interchanged. Give us a method to fix (or correct) this BST.

13. Implement a binary tree with the given interface, An interface for a sorted binary tree

15. Implement the malloc() and free() operations. Describe only the strategy for doing so, not the code.

16. Explain and describe structure padding.

17. A window of size k is sliding from left to right in an array of size n. Find out the maximum number in the window at each window position.

18. Describe your final year project in detail. How would you describe your role in the same?

19. What is a class and object in C++. Explain by taking an example.

20. What is static and use of it? Give a real-life example of where you would use it?

21. What are public, private called in C++( and: Access Specifiers) , What is the use of them? For whom would it be useful users or developers?

22. What is difference between authorization and authentication?

23. Abstraction and encapsulation?

24. How is Encapsulation implemented and an example?

25. What are triggers. How to use them?

26. Why do we need a foreign key when we have a primary key?

27. What is index in SQL?

28. What is use of joins?

29. What is use of inheritance?

30. There are 10 balls out of which one ball is heavier and all other balls are of equal weight, how many min measurements are required to find the heavier one?

31. Again a puzzle on weights, There are 25 machines producing 1kg weights, suddenly a machine corrupted and started producing weights measuring 999grams, Find the machine with a single measurement?

SAP Managerial Interview

In the SAP Hiring Process, there will be one managerial round. The candidates will be asked on the questions based on current affairs, general knowledge, etc., The candidates were needed to answer the questions very carefully, as in turn, the interviewer will get to know the thinking process the candidates have.

SAP HR Interview Round

SAP HR Interview is the final phase of the SAP Selection Process. Questions relative to the candidate’s personality will be asked by the panel. By your response to the questions that have been asked, the interviewer will come to know whether you are fit for the company or not. Moreover, through this round, your communication skills and work ethics will be projected.

  1. Tell me something about yourself

Though it is the most common question that is asked in any of the interviews, it plays a prominent role for the entire interview session. Your answer to this question have to make or break the interviewer’s perception of you. Start with the brief of yourself while could include, your educational qualification, strengths & weaknesses, achievements, hobbies, projects you did, interests & skills you have, etc.,

2. Why should I hire you?

Firstly, get to know the interviewer’s intention behind this question. In turn, he would like to know your interests, commitment, potential, and capabilities which will help for the growth of the company. While answering this question, give some strong demonstrations which highlight your worthiness for the company.

3. What are your greatest strengths and weaknesses?

Make sure that the interviewer won’t get confused by your strengths and weaknesses. Don’t brag about your strengths, and the same goes for your weakness. Don’t sound terrible while talking about your weaknesses. Be very careful while answering to this question. Know what the job role demands and focus on it and showcase your strengths. Some of the strengths that you can mention are Leadership skills, Good communication skills, Patience, Determination, Passionate, Oratory skills, Creativity, Dedicated, and Attention to detail.

4. What is unique about you?

To answer this question, you must know what skills you have which will differ you from others. You can justify it with the examples you have so that the interviewer will get to know you very easily. The intention behind every question that has been asked by the interviewer is to know your capabilities and the abilities that you have while will differ from the other candidates and in turn which would help for the wellness of the company.

5. Would you like to ask us something?

Though you have been given a chance to ask something, you were not expected to ask anything. Make sure that you do not ask sensitive questions like the compensation, annual turnover, etc., Some of the questions that you can ask are, Tell me about the company’s biggest challenge this year?, Can you tell me the management style of the company?, What is it that makes you happy to come for work every day?
