About S.N. Bose Scholarship Program

SN Scholarship is named in honor of Satyendra Nath Bose (1894 – 1974). He is a visionary Indian physicist best known for his work on quantum mechanics in the early 1920s. Satyendra Nath Bose Scholarship Program is only for Indian students doing Research in U.S. SN Bose Scholarship Programs for UG and PG Students. Which is given by the Science and Engineering Board (SERB), Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India together with the Indo-U.S. Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF) and the University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW). The S.N. Bose Scholars Program provides an opportunity for Indian students to research at various US Universities in the summer. And is given for 10-12 weeks. This Scholarship also includes Stipend, Airfare, and Health Insurance.

SN Bose Scholarship – Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should be Indian citizens only.
• Applicants should currently be pursuing a Bachelors’s or Masters’ degree at a recognized institution of higher education and learning in India.
• This Scholarship is open to students of Atmospheric and Earth Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Mathematical, and Computational Sciences, and Physical Sciences.
• Students with a biology background should consider applying to the Khorana Program for Scholars where benefits are Provided.

Awards For the SN Bose Scholarship

• The Candidates who are selected for getting the benefit of the S. N. Bose Scholarship Program will be provided with 2000 USD as Stipend.
• The Candidates will also be provided with accommodation facilities and Air Fare.
• Health Insurance will also be provided for the Candidates Who are selected.
• The amount is directly credited to the Student Bank Account.
