SSC CGL Salary Structure
Consider a Grade Pay 4600 post in Delhi under Class X. Assuming the Basic Pay for the post to be Rs. 44,900, the House Rent Allowance provided would be 24% of Basic Pay, amounting to Rs. 10,776 (based on the assumed post and city). Additionally, a transport allowance of Rs. 3600 would be provided since the Grade Pay falls within the range of 2000 to 4800. Dearness Allowance is not applicable as it is merged with the basic pay and revised every six months.

- The rate of HRA is determined by the 7th Pay Commission, which varies according to the classification of cities.

- Group Y, comprising 100 towns with a population of 5 lakhs, are eligible for 16% of HRA.

Travelling Allowance:
