SSC CPO Syllabus 2024
According to the SSC CPO Paper 1 Exam Pattern, it is designed with 4 sections, each carrying 50 questions for a total of 50 marks. SC CPO PET Test (For All Posts)
For Male Candidates:
- 100-metre race in 16 seconds
- 1.6 km race in 6.5 minutes
- Long Jump: 3.65 metres in 3 chances
- High Jump: 1.2 metre in 3 chances
- Shot put (16 Lbs): 4.5 meters in 3 chances
For Female Candidates:
- 100-metre race in 18 seconds
- 800-metre race in 4 minutes
- Long Jump: 2.7 metres in 3 chances
- High Jump: 0.9 metre in 3 chances.
Note – There shall be no minimum requirement of chest measurement for female candidates.
SSC CPO Paper 2 Exam Pattern

Note – Questions in both papers will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type. Questions will be set in Hindi and English in Parts I, II, and III of Paper I. There will be a negative marking equal to one-third of the marks allotted to the question for each wrong answer in Paper-I & Paper II. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.
SSC CPO Medical Test
All the candidates who qualify in Paper II will be medically examined by the Medical Officer of the CAPFs or any other Medical Officer or Assistant Surgeon belonging to Grade I of any Central/ State Govt. Hospital or Dispensary.
- Minimum Near Vision: N6 (better eye) and N9 (worse eye)
- Minimum Distant Vision: 6/6 (better eye) and 6/9 (worse eye)
- Must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein, or squint in eyes
- Eye standards should be without visual correction of any kind even by glasses.

SSC CPO Paper 1 General Knowledge & General Awareness Syllabus
Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidates’ general awareness of the environment around them and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries, especially about History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Scientific Research, etc.
SSC CPO Paper 1 Quantitative Aptitude Syllabus
The questions will be designed to test the ability of appropriate use of numbers and number sense of the candidate.
