Supreme Court of India Selection Process for Court Assistant Posts
The candidates will first be subjected to an Objective Type Written Test and Translation Test and those who qualify for both tests will be called for an English and language proficiency test on a Computer to ascertain typing speed in English and respective vernacular languages. The candidates who qualify in all the tests will then be called for an interview (Viva). The candidates who qualify for the Interview by securing minimum qualifying or more marks will be impaneled in the order of merit for appointment as Junior Translator.

Supreme Court Assistant Exam Pattern 2024
The following is the exam pattern for the Supreme Court of India Assistant Exam. A Written Test of General English and General Knowledge with multiple choice answers (Objective Type) will be asked for 30 marks. Translation from English to the Vernacular Language of the State will be asked for 60 marks and Translation from Vernacular Language to the English Language is asked for 60 marks. Typing Speed Test on a computer at the speed of 35 w.p.m. (English) and 25 w.p.m. (Vernacular language) Maximum permissible mistakes 5%. Finally, Viva (Interview) will be asked for 30 marks.
