Sri Venkateswara Institute Of Medical Sciences was established in the year 1993. Alleviating human suffering has been a part of the dedicated services of Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanams to mankind. To provide the most advanced medical technology to the people, the T.T.D. has launched a monument, Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences, a super specialty hospital at Tirupati.
The hospital is started from 26 February 1993 by an Act of A.P. State Legislature. This Institute has become University in 1995 within a short period of time. Sri Venkateswara Institute Of Medical Sciences has covered most of Andhra Pradesh people and the neighboring states. This university includes service, training, and education in advanced medical sciences and technology. For the first time in our Country, the latest technology in diagnostic wing and total computer automation of patient care has been implemented in this institution only.
SVIMS Admission Process
- Admissions for MBBS candidates is based on the performance in NEET UG conducted by CBSE followed by counselling.
- B.Sc (Nursing), B.Sc (Medical), BPT and Diploma courses, admissions can be done based on the qualifying marks in the examination. For the qualified students, further counselling process is to be done.
- Candidates who are having the valid marks in NEET PG and NEET SS can apply for MD and DM/ M.Ch courses respectively.
- M.Sc (Nursing), M.Sc (Medical), MPT and PG Diploma courses admissions will be alloted to the students based on the marks secured in the entrance test conducted by SVIMS, Tirupati.
- Written test and Interview will be conducted to the candidates based on the efficiency admissions are offered to the candidates.
