Student Intern Summary
The incumbent will be responsible for developing solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope. He/ she has limited use and/ or application of technical principles, theories, and concepts. Work is closely supervised. The incumbent should specific, detailed instructions to complete the task. Performs assignments designed to develop professional engineering work knowledge and abilities, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks.
Responsibilities Include
- Perform analyses requiring frequent application of engineering principles.
- Prepare engineering drawings for avionics and electrical system interface wiring using computer-based drafting tools (CATIA and/or IAI HarnesSys/Mentor Graphics).
- Will write technical descriptions of subject matter pertinent to design or test requirements. (Descriptions of supplier parts, test or rigging specifications, etc.)
Technical Competencies
- Experience with drafting tools like CATIA V5/V6 is beneficial
- Previous experience with mechanical and/or electrical systems design is beneficial.
- Strong skills in technical analysis for structures, components, and systems.
- The candidate must be able to work in a team environment and be able to clearly communicate thoughts and ideas with peers, management, and certification authorities
