TNOU Ph.D. Eligibility – Jan 2020 Session Admission
Candidate willing to register for Ph.D. should have passed a Master Degree or a
professional degree declared equivalent to the master’s degree, in the discipline concerned with not less than 55% of marks. Also, the candidate should have gone through the pattern of study in a 10+2+3+2 pattern or equivalent in that order. These degrees should have been obtained from this University or any other University recognized as equivalent thereto. Those candidates having qualified UGC/ CSIR (JRF) Examination NET/ SET/ GATE/ Teacher fellowship shall be exempted from appearing in the entrance test.

TNOU Ph.D. 2020 Application Fee
Candidates have to pay a fee of Rs. 500 while applying for TNOU Ph.D. Admission 2020. And the registration fee is Rs. 1000. The TNOU Ph.D. Application Form once sold shall not be taken back and the cost of Application Form will not be refunded or adjusted towards any purpose.
Selection Process
- As per the UGC Regulations, an Entrance Test and interview will be administered for all the eligible applicants and the performance in the interview will be taken into account along with the marks scored in the PG Program.
- The written test would comprise of objective type of questions for 40% marks and the interview would be conducted for 10% marks.
- The marks secured in written test and interview will be added to the marks obtained in the PG Degree Examination by giving 50% weight age and the rank list will be prepared accordingly.
