- Bachelor’s degree in a related subject from a University established by law in India and two-year Diploma/ D.El.Ed./ B.T.C. in Primary Pedagogy recognized by the Government. OR
- Intermediate and 04-year Bachelor’s degree (B.El.Ed.) in Primary Pedagogy. OR
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject from any university established by law in India and a two-year diploma in pedagogy (special education).
- It will be mandatory for the candidate to pass the UTET-01/ CTET-01 examination for Assistant Teacher (Primary) as per the guidelines formulated by the National Teacher Education Council and the examination conducted by the State Government/ Central Government.
- The training courses must be recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education.

- It is mandatory for the candidate to pass the UTET-02/ CTET-2 examination conducted by the State Government/ Central Government under the guidelines formulated by the National Council for Teacher Education for appointment to the post of Assistant Teacher (LT).
