UPSC NDA 2 2024 – Eligibility Criteria
Candidates interested in applying for the UPSC National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II) should possess the following educational qualifications and the age limit that are prescribed by the officials.
NDA 2 Notification – Essential Qualifications
- For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
- For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: 12th Class pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Note – Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.
NDA 2 Notification 2024 – Age Limit
Only unmarried male and female candidates born not earlier than 2nd January 2006 and not later than 1st January 2009 are eligible.

Note:
- The Papers in all will consist of objective-type questions only. The question paper (Test Booklets) of Mathematics and Part B of the General Ability Test will be set bilingually in Hindi as well as English.
- In the question papers, wherever necessary, questions involving the metric system of Weights and Measures only will be set.
- Candidates must write the papers in their own hands. In no circumstances will they be allowed the help of a scribe to write answers for them?
- Negative Marking – There are four alternatives for the answer to every question. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate. One-third (0.33) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty.
UPSC NDA 2 Syllabus 2024
There will be two subjects for the candidates to prepare for in the NDA Exam: Mathematics and General Ability Test. It is advised that candidates do not skip any topic and commence their preparation by the detailed syllabus.
