UPTET Eligibility Criteria 2023

UPTET Educational Qualifications
UPTET Eligibility for Paper-I (Primary-Level Teachers): The applicants need to possess any one of the criteria given below to meet the UPTET eligibility for Paper-I,
- Candidates should possess graduation in any discipline from UGC-recognized Universities/ Institutions. However, after completing graduation, a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) is mandatory. Candidates in the final year of DElEd are also eligible to apply for UPTET Exam 2023.
- Candidates should clear their graduation and pass the Basic Training Certificate (BTC) for distance education.
- Candidates must clear graduation or post-graduation with a minimum of 50 % marks. Apart from this, candidates should also have a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
- Candidates should complete their graduation along with BTC in Urdu and the final year pursuing candidates are also eligible to apply for UPTET 2023.
- Candidates should finish their graduation and also possess a diploma in teaching from Aligarh Muslim University.
- Candidates should have a graduation and acquired the degree of Moavill-E-Urdu before August 08, 1997.
- Candidates should complete their 12th class with a minimum of 50 percent marks and should also complete the 4-year duration Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd).
UPTET Eligibility for Paper-II (Upper Primary-Level Teachers): The applicants have to satisfy any one of the criteria mentioned below to gain UPTET eligibility for applying in Paper II:
- Candidates must complete their graduation from a recognized college or university and should also complete a two-year duration DElEd (BTC).
- Candidates should clear graduation or post-graduation with a minimum of 50 percent marks and also complete B.Ed/ B.Ed Special Education. Candidates in the final year of BEd/ BEd Special Education can also apply.
- Candidates should complete their 12th class with a minimum of 50 percent marks and have a four-year duration BScEd/ BSc BEd from a UGC/ National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognized institution. Candidates in the final year of BScEd/ BSc BEd can also apply.
- Should complete their class 12th with a minimum of 50 percent marks and should also complete a four-year BElEd. Candidates in the final year of BElEd are also eligible to apply for UPTET.
- Graduates with a minimum of 50 percent marks are eligible and should also complete a one-year duration BEd. Candidates in the final year of BEd can also apply.
UPTET Age Limit
Candidates aged between 18 and 35 years are only eligible to fill out the UPTET 2023 Application Form.
