Virtusa Interview Experience for Freshers

Candidate #1 – Virtusa Campus Interview Experience

Hello! recently I’ve attended the Vitusa On Campus Interview conducted in our college. And below is Virtusa Interview Process for Freshers that I’ve undergone.
- Written Test
- Technical Round
- HR Round
Round 1 – Written Test
In this round, there are different technical sections, and each section has its own time limit. The questions are from HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT MCQs (10 questions), Basic programming (4 questions), Core Java MCQs (40 questions), Database (10 questions). The difficulty level of this round is moderate. As soon as the results for round 1 were announced I was asked to attend the Technical round which is the 2nd round.
Round 2 – Technical Interview
I was very nervous initially, as soon as I greeted the interviewer he asked me to take a seat and asked me about my resume. To know what sort of questions were asked in this round kindly check out the below questions.

3. What is method overloading & method overriding
4. Can a static member function access member variable of an object?
5. Explain the waterfall model?
6. SDLC Model and its types.
7. How is inheritance in C++ different from Java?

9. Difference between checked and unchecked errors?
Once I was done with my technical interview, the interviewer asked me to wait to know about the result of this round. When the results were announced, I was happy to know I got shortlisted in this round and allowed to appear for the final round which is the HR interview.
Note:
- Maintain confidence throughout the interview, even if you don’t know the answer to a question don’t show your nervousness.
- Deeply explain about the project when you were asked, avoid giving brief answers regarding it.
- Make sure you have a strong command of the basic concepts of your core subjects.
Round 3 – HR Interview
This round is easy of all. The interviewer asked basic HR questions, all you have to do is maintain confidence, and should have strong communication skills.
Below are some of the questions that were asked to me during my HR interview.

2. What is your passion?
3. Are you okay with relocation?
4. Why do you want to join our company?
5. What are you expecting from the company?
After all the candidates have done given their interviews, the hiring team of Virtusa has announced the results. And in the selected candidates’ list, I was one of the candidates who got selected.
Candidate #2 – Virtusa Virtual Interview Experience
Status – Selected
Difficulty Level – Moderate
Recently Virtusa has come to our campus but the whole recruitment process has been done virtually. Below is the process that Virtusa has done to hire talented candidates to join their workforce.
Virtusa Interview Process for Freshers Includes:
- Technical Test
- Home Assessment (Coding Questions)
- Project Assignment
- Technical Interview
- HR Interview
Round 1: Technical Test
This technical test was conducted in the Hackerrank platform in the month of July. In this round, questions from Quants, Pseudocode, Java, DBMS, and OOPs (20 MCQ) were asked. And this is followed by coding questions (6). And the overall time limit for this round is 3 hours. Questions are difficult, in the end only 76 candidates were shortlisted from 500 candidates.
Round 2: Home Assessment
This is the Home Assessment round and was conducted in Hackerrank platform too. Nearly 24 coding questions were asked, and the duration is 7 days. Questions are based on algorithms and data structures.
Round 3: Project Assignment
The problem statement and the technology stack to be used were mentioned in the mail and a time limit of 1 month was given to learn technologies and prepare the project. Evaluation for home assessment & project assignment was considered in the technical interview.
Round 4: Technical Interview
For me, the technical interview was conducted in the month of September. All the candidates who have been through technical tests were allowed to appear for the technical interview. This round is conducted on the Microsoft Edge platform.

Finally, at the end of this round, only 30 students were shortlisted for the next round.
Round 5: HR Interview
Below are some of the basic questions that I’ve faced in my Virtusa HR Interview.
1. Introduce yourself
2. What are your hobbies
3. Why do you want to join our company?
4. What’s next if not Virtusa?
At last, only 24 candidates were selected in this round. And I was one among them.
